Tiebreaker to release debut album We Come From The Mountains

Tiebreaker was founded in May 2011 by five childhood friends from the fjords of Hardanger, Norway.

The band plays explosive and groovy rock 'n' roll, heavy influated by blues and prog-folk.

Tiebreaker has had a busy career and has made them selves quite a reputation as a solid live band, with approximately 150 performances since 2013.

They've done support for big Norwegian names like Oslo Ess, Real Ones and Major Parkinson, as well as Cody Jasper and Tyler Bryant and The Shakedown. Not to mention a great amount of shows at South By Southwest in 2013 and 2014.

The 13th of October they are releasing their debut album «We Come From The Mountains». The singles «Nicotine» and «Where Can Love Go Wrong» has done well, and their latest single «The Getaway» premiered in prime time on the most popular radio channel in Norway.

Now their debut album «We Come From The Mountains» is just around the corner.

It's out this monday, the 13th of October, and they are having a release party in their hometown of Odda this Saturday.

The album contains a specter of stong, raw and beautiful songs.

 

Single Review - Tiebreaker - Where Can Love Go Wrong

Where Can Love Go Wrong is the new single from Norwegian Band Tiebreaker. If you like your music soulful, rocking and infectious you should have a listen.

With guitar riffs from Eirik Wik Haug to make your ears bleed, Where does love go wrong kicks straight in from the word go and Thomas Espeland Karlsen's gritty, throaty vocals are perfect for this.

The blues influences are evident throughout the track and the gorgeous backing vocals complimenting Thomas's vocals are an added delicacy. 

We saw these guys at this years Liverpool Soundcity and they blew us away then and this track just goes to prove one thing, they sound just as good laid down on a digital format as they do in real life.

MusicMafia presents Norwegian Band Tiebreaker

In 2013 Norwegian band,Tiebreaker,  travelled on tour in Texas and performed eleven(!) times in nine days, during South By Southwest. In 2014, they went back to SXSW: six gigs in seven days including a live national TV performance.

With thirteen gigs across Norway in the Summer of 2014, the band are realising their debut album on the 10th of October. Tiebreaker was founded in May 2011, five childhood friends from the small fjords of Hardanger, Odda, Norway. The band plays an explosive, groovy rock and roll, with elements of industry and 70's prog-rock, with glimpses of the darkest blues. 

In March 2012, Tiebreaker played their first EP, the ABC Studio in Etne, which was released on 22 June 2012. This EP has received great reviews in, among others, MusicStreetJournal.com in the U.S. (5/5). "This outfit from Norway have produced a nearly perfect set of tunes." - G.W. Tiebreaker has so far had a busy career with over 100 performances the past year. The career includes gigs as support for Oslo Ess, Real Ones, Major Parkinson, Cody Jasper, Eric Tessmer and Tyler Bryant and The Shakedown.
