Tommy D releases charity single Right There in aid of Stephens Story

Midlands based recording artist Tommy D presents his debut charity single in aid of Stephens Story and Teenage Cancer Trust.

Having raised over £3 million for Teenage Cancer Trust - with support from the likes of Jason Manford, Coldplay, Simon Pegg, Simon Cowell, Russell Brand and a host of national and international media - terminally ill teenager Stephen Sutton has captured the attention of the world with his selfless fund-raising mission and unbelievably positive attitude towards his illness.

Hip hop recording artist Tommy D, who was born and raised in the same town as Stephen, now presents his debut charity single dedicated to Stephens Story, with all proceeds going directly to the Teenage Cancer Trust.

The single, which features singer / songwriter Rob Makin and production from songwriter / producer KR (Professor Green, Just Jack, Lil Wayne), is currently sitting at No. 52 on the iTunes hip hop chart after just one day of it's release.

At just 17, Nick Dixon is already planting his name in pop culture. In 2013, Nick appeared on BBC’s talent search, The Voice, impressing judges, especially Danny O’Donoghue of band The Script, in the ‘blind auditions’. Narrowly missing out on a place in the next round, Nick had to promise to the judges that he would return the following year.

Nick’s full audition song has gathered a large audience on YouTube, currently standing at over 450,000 views, being one of roughly 50 contestants to be aired on the BBCs channel from the ‘blind auditions’.His appearance on The Voice has sparked interest from major recording labels, including Universal and SONY, who are eagerly awaiting the release of Nick’s original material.

His charity single ‘I am Loved’ will be available on all digital platforms from February 8th Music by producer Paul Donnelly and singer/songwriter Paul Hart, lyrics penned by singer/songwriter David Arnett, with Nick completing the track by serenading the listener with his husky, soulful vocals. ‘I am Loved’ tells a story of love and devotion; a piano pop-ballad with a subtle beat, this track has all potential to be the soundtrack of spring-time love. A simple but powerful chorus ensures that this is a song you’ll be singing all day.

Nick’s voice has an air of classic 80s soft rock; think Peter Cetera and Chicago, Richard Marx, Air Supply, but with a modern-day twist. Mixed with heart-warming harmonies and his vocal ad libs, ‘I am Loved’ will leave you tongue tied and gooey eyed!
