“We aim to write music that creates an atmosphere and tells a story, covering a wide rage of emotions. This sound is created using a mixture of unique guitar sounds, piano and strings; together with powerful, memorable chorus’ and lyrics that paint a picture.”

Forever August are an Alternative Rock/Pop band made up of two sets of Brothers, twins Adam and Dan Franklin along with Joseph and Matthew Purdue. The band which came together at school have been writing and performing together for over three years now. In early 2010, the band worked together with a management company (Century Media Corp) who believed the band had wide appeal with “catchy chorus melodies, and a unique, yet commercial sound.” Unfortunately the company was forced to drop all of its acts as a result of the recession, but the band learned a lot about the importance of appeal and structure within commercial song writing.

Over the last year the band have focused largely on defining their sound and writing the material for their first album. Four songs, including the recently released single “Who Said It Was Over?” have been recorded at Long Wave Studios, Cardiff. The band are booked to record four more songs in April, and the rest of the album in the summer, together with two more music videos. Forever August copyright all of their material and own a UK registered trade mark for the band name.

Forever August recently made their first official release with the single “Who Said It Was Over?” and have been selling it through iTunes and on printed CD through the official website. The song was promoted online and on TV with the bands first official music video (available at www.foreveraugust.com).
