Introducing YdotC, (otherwise known as Young C), an African born, UK based rapper set to explode on the international scene with the release of his forthcoming debut mixtape 'The Prognosis'.
Straight from the Motherland, YdotC was born and raised in Botswana and began rapping at the age of 12. His very first freestyle was to R. Kelly’s track ‘Fiesta’, and a hunger to become a better MC grew from then on. Without having access to a studio, Young C would record over tapes he could find in his home, until 2008, when he took the solemn decision to take his music career one step further and begin to record his music professionally.
Born in an era filled with some of the greatest hip-hop lyricists such as Tupac, Notorious B.I.G., Jay-Z, Nas, and Busta Rhymes, YdotC was influenced into the direction of Hip Hop.
Fast forward to 2011, and YdotC is currently working on his highly anticipated mix tape in the UK whilst setting his sights on international stardom. Mixed by SODMG / Dipset DJ MixMasterG, the release will see YdotC delivering his most accomplished sound to date, presenting 16 tracks of fresh authentic hip hop.
In anticipation of the new release YdotC is dropping 3 promotional singles, kicking off 'Get It How I Live', which demonstrates this seasoned lyricist’s ability to execute flawless, engaging vocal deliveries over original hip hop backdrops.
