Mellowtone Presents… Bird
Since
the release of their much-anticipated E.P 'Phantoms' on Halloween of
2011, this five piece “Atmospheric Folk” Band have gained much critical
acclaim. They have regularly been played on BBC 1 and 6 as well as
featuring on channel 4.
Bird
put themselves under the genre of ‘atmospheric folk’ and atmospheric is
definitely the word. You will find haunting and poetic lyrics combined
with melodic and eerie, sweeping guitar riffs. Enticing audiences with
the ability to play the silences as well as the music, creating tension
in everything they do leaving you wanting more at the end of every note
rather than at the end of every song. Bird’s universe is magical and
other worldly, creating strong imagery and emotion for the audience.
Bird are sure to leave you with hairs standing up on the back of your
neck.
Alongside
planning their tour and keeping busy with press and radio interviews,
Bird are currently back in the studio recording new material set to be
released March/April of 2012.

Harvest Sun Presents… Wallis Bird
Wallis
defies categorization, which makes writing about her tough work. But
one thing is for sure this Irish artist is a musical magpie whose
mature, self-affirming songs display an unusual emotional breadth.
An
exceptional guitarist, her unique playing style comes from a childhood
accident which permanently damaged her left hand, Bird learned to play
her instrument flipped back to front, resulting in her own bafflingly
complex chord fingerings, much to the bewilderment of audiences across
Europe.
