Harvest Sun Presents…Savages
Savages offer a fresh kind of dark punk, nihilism that has got muso’s across the land quivering with excitement. The organic connection between the band member’s musical styles seems to have created something that was noticed to be great from their very first gig. They have subsequently been compared to the great post punk bands of the 1980’s, Joy Division and Magazine to name but a few. There is great expectation for this well constructed quad. They are thought to have the potential to revitalize the guitar scene. With Gemma Thompson’s ability to wrap her guitar solo around the hypnotic bass of Ayse Hassan and intertwine with the rest of the band before splitting off, all within the space of a few seconds, leaves us with no doubt about this. All this pulled together with the awesome energy of Jehnny Beth who has been likened to Joe Strummer makes for a very exciting gig.
