San Cisco's first UK gigs confirmed

After testing the waters with their debut UK release of the ‘Awkward’ EP in July, Australia’s award winning and much-loved infectious indie-pop band, San Cisco, have been receiving early critical acclaim from key UK radio and press, alongside major label interest in both the UK and America.  The quartet is now planning to travel to the UK in October for the first time ever, to play some quality live shows in the capital during their tour of Europe.

After sell out headline tours in Australia, and receiving over 1.9 million hits on YouTube and the title of #7 hottest track of 2012 from Tripe J (Australia’s leading independent national radio station) for their single ‘Awkward’, San Cisco are now heading over to the UK and Europe to win us over with their shiny indie-pop and incredibly catchy riffs. A 9-date tour has just been confirmed, with dates in the UK, Germany and Holland during October.

The ‘Awkward’ EP was San Cisco’s first UK release back in July 2012 and was well received by UK press and radio. The band has already received early support from the likes of NMEThis Is Fake DIYXFMBBC 6MusicAbsolute RadioBBC Radio 1 and Amazing Radio.
San Cisco formed a few years ago in their early teens, whilst still at school in their hometown of Fremantle, Western Australia.  The four members: Jordi Davieson (Lead vocals and guitar), Josh Biondillo (Guitar, keyboards and vocals), Nick Gardner (Bass) and Scarlett Stevens (Drums and vocals) have come a long way since their weekend jams, to scooping up 8 awards at the 2012 WAMi’s (Western Australian Music Industry Awards) and selling over 50,000 copies of their single ‘Awkward’.

Catch the bands’ enigmatic live performance at the following UK dates…
Tues 02 Oct – San Cisco @ White Heat, Madame Jo Jo’s, London, UK

Thurs 04 Oct – San Cisco @ Clash Presents, The Lexington, London, UK
