More than 10m records sold worldwide, six albums released to date and world renowned for having the ‘voice of an angel’, Charlotte Church is back with her brand new EP ‘ONE’ and performing at O2 Academy Liverpool on Thursday 25th October.

The new EP ‘One’, from Charlotte Church, released digitally on 3rd September and physically on 15th October 2012 on her own label Alligator Wine Records, is the first in a series of EP's that Charlotte will release over the next twelve months in short collections of what Charlotte considers her ‘freshest and best’. Continuing her musical evolution since being thrust into the limelight aged 11, One’ reflects this with a new, edgy, alt rock sound that melds big vocals, big guitars and big drums.

Opening with the epic and beautiful ballad ‘The Rise’ over which Charlotte’s vocals soar, anthemic ‘Say It’s True’, a more up tempo affair, is driven by hypnotic marching drums. The intriguingly titled third track, ‘How Not To Be Surprised When You’re A Ghost’, oozes melancholia and is inspired by Nabokov's 'Pale Fire'; accompanied by a darkly surreal video – watch it here:

Cinematic closing track ‘Beautiful Wreck’ builds dramatically throughout with drums, guitars, strings and brass.

Having spent the summer touring her new music on the UK indie circuit playing intimate venues with her band - the bold new direction has been warmly received by both audiences and critics. Catch her at one of the following venues with more dates to be announced

Tour dates:
24th September – Monto Water Rats, London

18th October – SWN Festival Cardiff

22nd October – King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut, Glasgow

24th October – Electric Circus, Edinburgh

25th October – O2 Academy2, Liverpool

  1. I am quite disappointed with both O2 and 3UK for the loss of signal for more than five hours now. This is so sad as other networks like Vodafone and Everything Everywhere are experiencing good signal!!!
