MusicMafia presents Book Thieves

Blending dirty riffs with catchy melodies and delicately woven confessionals with politically charged hard-hitters, Book Thieves are fast becoming a favourite on the live music scene.

Having come out of a gig-packed 2012  with some high-profile fans, including Nokia and Oxjam Music; this 4-piece wall of sound are hitting the ground running. If the first three months are anything to go by, 2013 promises to be a busy old year for the band.

Here's what's coming up in February and March:

Tuesday 12th February: BBC Radio Merseyside session

In the build up to their debut BBC showcase, the band will be in the studio chatting to Radio Merseyside's, Dave Monks. They'll also be recording two very special acoustic tracks which will feature on Dave's radio show the following week.

Friday 22nd February: BBC Radio Merseyside showcase

Book Thieves will be performing as part of the BBC Radio Merseyside Showcase at the Krazyhouse (Wood Street, Liverpool). Other acts include Oxygen Thieves, The Red Suns and The Kayas. For FREE ENTRY, contact the band at

Friday 8th March: Single Launch – Threshold Festival (Elevator Bar, Parliament Street
To mark the release of their new AA side single 'Atom Bomb'//'Running Joke', Book Thieves will be performing a very special set at Liverpool's biggest and best multi-arts festival, Threshold. Accompanying 'Atom Bomb' will be a video directed by Andrew AB of ABPhotography and released in association with Rebel Soul.

If that wasn't enough, the band will be offering a limited edition 'Book Thieves Booty Bag' to the first 30 people who buy the single. The contents of which are a closely guarded secret.
