Colour The Atlas ‘Building Skyscapers’ EP Released August 5th

Building Skyscrapers’ is the new EP from Colour the Atlas, to be released on August 5th through Ugly Truth Records. 2012 was a breakthrough year for the young quartet from Swindon, with their eponymous debut EP reaching No.2 in the iTunes Singer/Songwriter’s chart. In October the band supported Newton Faulkner on his UK tour, following this with their own debut headline tour.

The new ‘Building Skyscrapers’ EP includes the sublime live favourite, ‘Blue Eyes’, with three new songs, ‘Paper Wings’, ‘Revolutions’ and ‘
Rise’. Sympathetic contemporary production allows the band’s agile musicianship and complex songwriting to shine.

Taking influences from Bon Iver, Iron and Wine, Fleet Foxes and other artists who make sumptuous, deep, primarily acoustic music, at the core of Colour The Atlas is the song-writing and vocal partnership of Jess Hall (vocals) and Alex Stone (guitar, vocals), who have an almost telepathic harmonic understanding. Completing the band, who met at school and are all 20 years old, are Andy Vincent (Bass) and Stef Pysanczyn (Drums).

‘Building Skyscrapers’ track listing:
1.     Paper Wings
2.     Revolutions
3.     Blue Eyes
4.     Rise
