Lewis Fieldhouse Streams New Single ‘Don’t Be A Stranger’

Born in the wilds of North Yorkshire, Lewis Fieldhouse is a songwriter and producer based in the UK.

Drawing his influence from classic songwriters like The Beach Boys and Paul Simon before meshing them with his own contemporary brand of infectious, upbeat sun-soaked acoustic alt-pop, Lewis is today pleased to announce the release of his latest single ‘Don’t Be A Stranger’ for free download on 15th July and is streaming the song now via Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/lewisfieldhouse/lewis-fieldhouse-dont-be-a/s-Qp2Pa

“I wrote Don't Be A Stranger when I was in Los Angeles last year” says Lewis of the new single “I'd recently decided to go solo and went out to the US for a working holiday, taking in some new culture and a different perspective. The optimism and the energy of LA grabbed me instantly and I wrote the song in a day. It’s about being in a new city and surviving on hope, promises and no money.”

As part of the burgeoning grassroots Liverpool scene Lewis counts Jethro Fox, Dan Croll and Tarek Musa as some of his conspirators and spends the rest of his time as one quarter of Merseyside blue collar college-rock outfit The Old Silent, who recently found fans at The 405, Amazing Radio and BBC 6 with their latest single Ever You.

With his first two, self-released singles 'Goodbye' and 'The Water's Fine' under his belt, the latter being featured on a Canadian Film by Director Emily Diana Ruth, Lewis also recently recorded a cover of 'Bloodbuzz Ohio' by The National which was featured on The 405 TV earlier this month

Support slots alongside heavy hitters Willy Mason, Tribes, Dry The River and To Kill A King as well as regular shows with local up and comers All We Are, Vasco De Gama and Ninetails mark Lewis out as a striking songwriter and producer to keep an eye on in 2013, with plenty more up his seemingly never-ending sleeves.

'Don't Be A Stranger' is released on the 15th of July. A video shot and directed by James Byrne is to follow shortly.
