Dizzee Rascal to release I Don’t Need A Reason this July

Fresh from a critically acclaimed performance at Glastonbury’s main stage and a top 5 hit featuring Robbie Williams, Dizzee Rascal switches the styles and releases to radio, I Don’t Need A Reason, from his new studio album, The Fifth.

Employing top hit writer Jean Baptiste (Madonna, Chris Brown, Will.i.Am) on the buttons, Dizzee lets loose and delivers an unrelenting, uncompromising bass driven summer smash.

I Don’t Need A Reason, with its catchy refrain see’s Dizzee going at it alone droppin hook and verse showcasing trademark deadly flows and electric delivery.

I don’t Need A Reason will be released later this month to coincide with the full video. Remixes to follow shortly.

The Fifth is the first album release from Dizzee since singing a multi-million pound worldwide deal with Universal and for his new album he has flipped his own script, forsaking the familiar comforts of his South London studio for a walk on the wild side through the platinum disc-lined hallways of the best producers on the planet. Features on the album include Tinie Tempah, Jessie J, Will,I.Am, Angel, Sean Kingston and Robbie Williams.

It’s been a decade since the release of the seminal ‘Boy In Da Corner' marking a big year for the East London emcee turned worldwide superstar.  He went onto release three subsequent hit albums including the self-released platinum ‘Tongue and Cheek’ which spawned 5 number one singles in the UK which was honoured but the Official Charts Company last year.   With countless accolades and industry awards under his belt including coveted Mercury Music Prize, Ivor Novello, Brit and most recently a landmark performance at the 2012 Olympics, Dizzee has proved he is one of the most successful British artists of all time.
