Originating from the West Midlands is the one-man outfit Arkk. He is a singer-songwriter who writes with a blend of melodic grandeur, experimentation and intelligent lyrics, all propelled by a world-wary urgency and youthful yearning.
Having grown up obsessing over 90’s Britpop and Alternative, he spent years hidden away in his room fine tuning his abilities until he finally found other local musicians to put a band together. They toured the country, but after two attempts he saw that with his innate sense of direction and ambition it was time to take the bold step and go solo.
He now plays stripped back acoustic renditions for a unique and personal performance. Having spent the first half of the year playing a selection of shows nationally and after dedicating hours in the studio, he has just finished recording his debut EP, having produced and played the majority of it himself. Unlike his live performances, this demonstrates his full creative scope. He plans to promote the EP in the near future.
