Russian Gun Dogs release debut single Survive

A dark wave of post punk alt rock, Russian Gun Dogs are a new band with intense drive and anthemic potential. It wasn’t long ago that they were writing and rehearsing in bedrooms. They soon got noticed to the point of recording their songs with Gavin Monaghan (Editors, Robert Plant, Ocean Colour Scene etc) producing.

By this summer they had stepped from their bedrooms to gigs with Spector, Maximo Park, The View, The Subways, Reverend andThe Makers, The Pigeon Detectives, Twisted Wheel, Ash and more.

Debut single, 'Survive' earned them great feedback, swelled following on and off line, festival appearances and a 'BBC Introducing Sound Of 2013' accolade. “‘Survive’ hits the right notes on many levels.” (GigSlutz).

The video, filmed at their last Coventry Kasbah show is an inkling of their potential to magnetise fans and has received over 11,000 views in nine months. The interest and excitement is there.

Last week they played a London show (supporting ex-Guillemots duo, LUNGS) which attracted not only loyal fans to travel from as far as the Midlands (and New York) to New Cross, but also fired up the dance floor and left RGD with even more friends (and offers to return to the capital, pronto!).

Next week they play a home town Friday night headline with special guests The Broken Rebels, Casual Actors and The Deserts on 18th October, then release their winter 2013 single 'Surrender' on iTunes Monday 21st October.

The band are currently in the studios recording new material and putting together releases and appearances for 2014.

Now is a good time to take notice of Russian Gun Dogs.
