About Jake Evans
Jake Evans is a Singer/Songwriter based in Macclesfield, NW England.
He first gained attention through a release with his first band, Rambo and Leroy, before being asked to join Bad Lieutenant as a songwriter, co-frontman and guitarist. Bad Lieutenant featured Bernard Sumner and Stephen Morris of New Order along with Blur's Alex James.
2012 saw Jake emerge for his first live shows. He impressed audiences both new and familiar, after being personally invited to open for the likes of Paul Weller among others.
His rapidly growing profile saw him most recently open up for Johnny Marr and New Order at their prestigious, sold out Jodrell Bank Live show on July 7th. Jake's most recent live appearance was at the award winning Festival No.6 on September 15th.
Jake has recently completed his own debut album Day One.
Day One firmly establishes Jake as a unique talent in his own right, with no shortage of effortless guitar and vocal melody, heartfelt lyrics and euphoric sonic backdrops. This is Post-Rock Indie at it's best.
