The New Fabian Society release brand new track Barbarossa
Glaswegian two-piece The New Fabian Society have announced the release of a brand new track ‘Barbarossa’, available as a free download from December 20th 2013.
Formed in 2011 by singer/guitarist Michael Alford and made complete by Alex Abate on drums this year, The New Fabian Society released their first EP ‘Exhibition of Love’ in early 2012, followed by a second EP release ‘Exhibition of Hate’ in the UK on Electric Company Records and in France on Parisian label Old Vibrations Records to rave reviews.
Echoing elements of early 90’s industrial rock and carrying a sense of foreboding doom, ‘Barbarossa’ carries the same frantic driving rhythm section, sludgy distortion and bleak vocals the band have become known for. Further aiding the band’s mission to “fuck everything up simply because we want to”, ‘Barbarossa’ is a vintage cut of infectious hopelessness that sounds as if it should have appeared on the soundtrack to cult film Trainspotting.
‘Barbarossa’ will be released on December 20th via Electric Company Records, ahead of an album release being planned for spring of next year with a full UK and European tour.
