Cris Cab releases hit single Liar Liar and announces UK debut album release
18th August will see the UK release of the debut album, ‘Where I Belong’ from US-talent, Cris Cab, through Virgin EMI. Currently reigning the airwaves across Europe with his lead hit single, ‘Liar Liar’ featuring and co-written by Pharrell which has firmly planted Cris Cab at the top of the airwaves and top 5 in the iTunes charts throughout Europe reaching triple platinum status in the Netherlands.
‘Liar Liar’ is a sure-fire summer smash showcasing Cris’ undeniable talent as a musician, song-writer and pop-artist, kicking up a storm across the globe, hitting the #1 spot in France, #2 in Germany and #3 in Italy, conquering the iTunes top 10 in 24 countries worldwide and amassed over 20 Million YouTube video plays to date.
Pharrell has acted as a mentor and collaborator to Cris since the age to 16, he recently said, “I couldn't be any happier for Cris. He’s been on an incredible journey since I met him a little over three years ago, and it’s awesome to see him continue to rise and grow. Just get ready - this is the beginning of many great albums, this is a career.”
In addition to writing and recording with the likes of Pharrell and Big Sean, Cris has also collaborated with Wyclef Jean, Mike Posner, and Mavado, and gone on tour with Collie Buddz, O.A.R., T-Pain, Gym Class Heroes, and Matisyahu.
Hailing from Miami, Florida, Cris discovered his song-writing skills aged 10 when he picked up a guitar for the first time. Over the years spent playing songs and hanging out in the bars of the Bahamas, freestyling for patrons while his father was out fishing the seas - Cris’ love for reggae music was born. ‘Where I Belong’ is reggae infused, pop master-class of an album, brimming with Cris’ infectious riffs and melodies and laced with hints of electronic production.
In recent months Cris has shared the stage with the likes of Ellie Goulding, Pitbull, Tegan and Sara, Lilly Allen and Enrique Iglesias as well as performing at the World Music Awards in Monaco, with further live dates to be announced later this year.
