New Jersey band Real Estate to play The Kazimier Liverpool
We’re delighted to welcome the creators of one of 2014s best albums to Liverpool in October as neo-psychedelic/jangle pop quintet Real Estate visit The Kazimier.
Singed to legendary indie label Domino, the New Jersey natives third LP Atlas was issued to a rapturous reception on both sides of the Atlantic in March.
Widely acclaimed as one of the albums of the year, scoring four star notices from Mojo, Uncut and the New York Times, Pitchfork stated in an 8.8 review ‘(they’ve) made more than just their third excellent record in a row, more than just their best ever record. They’ve made the first record of their career that feels like it might teach you something over time’.
Recorded in Chicago at Wilco’s loft studio and sharing sonic kinship with Wild Nothing, the group’s gauzy vocal melodies and dream-like instrumentation has seen them accrue a cult following Stateside and won the support of BBC Radio One and 6Music.
Destined to be one of the highpoints of 2014s gig season, Real Estate’s burgeoning popularity mean that tickets will surely be scarce come showtime.
