Moon Duo to play The Kazimier Liverpool
Making their third appearance on Merseyside in almost as many years, hugely acclaimed US space rock voyagers Moon Duo blast into orbit at The Kazimier in early May.
Following a stunning show at the venue in June 2012 and their mesmeric headline slot at the 2013 Liverpool International Festival of Psychedelia, the band return in support of forthcoming LP ‘Shadow of the Sun’ set for release on March 4th through celebrated US indie label Sacred Bones.
Comprising of Wooden Shjips mainman Ripley Johnson alongside musical/ romantic partner Sanae Yamada, Moon Duo recently recruited sticksman John Jeffrey to the fold, their live firepower fully evident on this autumn’s warmly received ‘Live in Ravenna’ EP.
Hailed as one of the leading exponents of cutting edge psychedelia, tickets will be in short supply come showtime for a gig that will more than whet the appetite of Liverpool Psych Fest 2015 attendees.
Prior to Moon Duo’s show in The Kazimier clubroom, the Garden plays host to pre-party with hypnotic shoegazers Pinkshinyultrablast in the late afternoon. The band’s first ever tour outside their native Russia, the St. Petersburg quintet have received huge praise in the blogosphere for their outstanding debut LP ‘Everything Else Matters’, released in January.
Bringing two leading exponents of cutting edge psychedelia together on the same bill, tickets will be in short supply come showtime for a gig that will more than whet the appetite of Liverpool Psych Fest 2015 attendees.
