Loop play The Kazimier Liverpool in June
Marking their first date in the city since reforming in 2013, legendary late eighties alternative rock group Loop visit Liverpool in June, as part of only four UK dates.
Mainstays on the UK independent chart throughout the late eighties and early nineties, the band led by Robert Hampson issued three highly acclaimed LPs and racked up a score of Peel Sessions.
Signed to Heavenly founder Jeff Barrett’s Head label, the group accrued a cult audience on both sides of the Atlantic for their No Wave influenced guitar textures and motorik Kosmische rhythms,
Following their regrouping to curate a night at the legendary All Tomorrow’s Parties at Camber Sands, a US tour the following year saw a new set of songs begin to take shape.
The first fruits of these sessions is four track EP Array 1, due for release on 22nd June, the first of three brand new releases set to be issued over the next twelve months.
Set to play ATP Iceland in July and at sister event ATP's Season at the Roundhouse in London the month before, the band’s Kazimier show will be a timely showcase of one the UK indie scenes most respected groups and is strongly recommended to long term fans and new converts alike.
