ArcTanGent announces even more bands for 2015

ArcTanGent has added Deerhoof, Blanck Mass, That Fucking Tank, Brontide, Mutiny On The Bounty, Delta Sleep, Axes, The Fierce and the Dead, Quadrupede, USA Nails and Cousin to their line up.

These bands join the previously announced headliners The Dillinger Escape Plan, Deafheaven and 65daysofstatic alongside Helms Alee, Marriages, Mylets, Emma Ruth Rundle, Vennart, Talons, Her Name Is Calla, British Theatre, The Algorithm, Rolo Tomassi, Tangled Hair and many more.

Organiser James Scarlett said “obviously we’re very happy about adding the amazing Deerhoof but what really pleases me about this announcement is the amazing UK post and math-rock bands. That Fucking Tank, Brontide, Delta Sleep, Axes. Need I say more?”

“We’ve still got around 10 bands to announce over the coming months and there are some absolutely amazing additions including our 2nd stage headliner for Thursday and Friday plus a couple more additions to the main stage. I can promise the ATG fans will be very happy, so watch this space!”

In addition, the ArcTanGent organisers have announced that there are 10 platinum tickets available to win. The platinum tickets are a VIP upgrade enabling the winners to have a glass of bubbly on arrival, backstage access including a brand new VIP bar, the chance to watch a band of their choice from the side of the stage, priority entrance with VIP camping and backstage toilets plus a merch bundle. To be in with a chance of winning, fans must simply buy their ticket before the 15th March and the winners will be drawn at random.

And for those who want to guarantee the VIP treatment, ArcTanGent have joined up with VIP Touring to offer 14 friends the chance to “live like rock stars” at the festival. Each person will be collected from their doorstep in a luxury air conditioned bus and driven to Fernhill Farm for three nights of living like Queens of the Stone Age (it used to be their bus). These fans will be able to sleep on the bus for the entire festival and enjoy on board comforts such as chilled drinks, mobile phone charging points, a cinema system, a fully loaded iPad and a Playstation4. After the festival, the bus will drop the VIP guests back at their doorsteps.

Tickets to purchase the VIP Tour Bus Package are on the ArcTanGent website.

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased from www.arctangent.co.uk/tickets/

To enter the Platinum Ticket competition tickets must be purchased before the 15th March 2015.

Detestival announce second wave of acts for 2014

Following a stellar 2013 event, the Sheffield-based festival DETESTIVAL (in association with Bulliet Bourbon) returns for a second year with an extended three-day event on April 18th-20th 2014.

Originally founded and curated by the cult Yorkshire ‘death blues’ duo Wet Nuns in 2013, last year’s festival saw a sold-out two-day event featuring the likes of Toy, Hookworms, Temples, Wolf People, Bo Ningen and John J Presley. The 2014 edition now returns with three nights of decadence and a line-up of some of the most progressive and exciting acts around.

The second round of artists for 2014 have now been announced. Joining previously announced headliners Sleepy Sun and Turbowolf, everyone's favourite psych-extraordinaire MJ (of Hookworms) will be back with new super-group Menace Beach. Accompanying news of Menace Beach is the addition of some of this year's most exciting rising acts including That Fucking Tank, Mike Hughes, Cult of Dom Keller, Wild Smiles, Rumpus, Seize The Chair, Baba Naga, and Mistoa Polsta, who all join previously confirmed bands PINS, Slaves, Lola Colt, God Damn, Brown Brogues, Vladimir, Big Difference, Bad Guys and Jazz Hands.

Festival curator Rob Graham said of this year’s event; “This year we're back and we're bigger. Same as last year we stuck to the idea of trying to put a line-up together that was populated with acts that we like, both on an artistic level as well as personal one.

Since last years event we've seen: Toy better their first record with the beautiful and brave 'Join The Dots', Hookworms go from playing mid-bill to playing the final ATP at camber sands and releasing probably the album of the year, and Temples support the fucking Rolling Stones at Hyde park. Here's to another great weekend of bands that will blow everyone's minds and make waves!“

Detestival takes place at The Queen’s Social Club in Sheffield over the Easter weekend of April 18th-20th 2014. Weekend tickets are on-sale now for just £30 in advance from harleylive.co.uk/ticket-shop, seetickets, com, gigantic.com and sivtickets.com.

The confirmed acts for this year’s event so far are; Sleepy Sun, Turbowolf, PINS, Slaves, God Damn, Lola Colt, Menace Beach, Brown Brogues, Vladimir, That Fucking Tank, Mike Hughes, Cult of Dom Keller, Wild Smiles, Rumpus, Seize The Chair, Baba Naga, Mistoa Polsta, Big Difference, Bad Guys and Jazz Hands.

ArcTanGent Festival announce First Bands

ArcTanGent, the new Bristol based music festival from the organisers of the award winning 2000trees has today announced the first 14 bands for its line up.

The 5,000 capacity festival will play host to headliner 65daysofstatic plus Three Trapped Tigers, Tall Ships, Rolo Tomassi, Maybeshewill, Johnny Foreigner, Castrovalva, Yndi Halda, This Town Needs Guns, That Fucking Tank, The Physics House Band, Among Brothers, Axes and Brontide.

Says co-founder James Scarlett: “with ArcTanGent we wanted to take the festival template we’ve laid down with 2000trees and have more leftfield, experimental and post-rock orientated bands. We think that this first line up announcement gives our audience an idea of where we are coming from musically and there are loads more exciting bands to come over the next few months!”

Ric Phethean of Tall Ships says: “2000trees is the king of vibes. The two years we've played have been two of the best shows we've ever done - great bands, good times. It's the only festival we make sure we can play and then stay for the rest of the weekend, so we really can't wait for ArcTanGent!" This sentiment is echoed by John Helps of Maybeshewill who says that "2000trees is easily one of our favourite UK Festivals so it's an absolute privilege to be asked to be involved in their new event. The rest of the line-up we've seen so far is exceptional, and we're hugely excited that we get to play the first one."

ArcTanGent takes places from 29th – 31st August and tickets are on sale now priced at £59. Fellow organiser Goc O’Callaghan says: “we’ve done the research and we are pretty much the best priced festival out there. You’ll get two nights camping, four stages, over 70 incredible bands & DJs and the best local food and drink we can find. It’s definitely great value!”
