M.A.D.I.S.O.N,Last Breath and In Between Echoes create Indie Heaven at The Dome

M.A.D.I.S.O.N,Last Breath and In Between Echoes  at The Dome Liverpoolome

The Dome Grand Central continues to present a mixed line up of acts with the announcement of three Indie bands playing Liverpool for the first time all in one night. On Sun 4th December ‘Music Out There’ will introduce M.A.D.I.S.O.N, Last Breath and In Between Echoes to the Liverpool music scene.

M.A.D.I.S.O.N a 4-part band that describe themselves as "melodic rock with a retro touch" due to their 3 part harmonies, vintage lead guitar and amp combo, and obsessive attention to detail in their music that is often missing these days.  This summer they played the main stage of Bridgnorth Music Festival and in January are support to Gerry McAvoy (Rory Gallagher band) at The Robin2.  M.A.D.I.S.O.N will include their current single in their set. "Where Are You?" is available on iTunes and all major download stores, and they will also perform songs from their forthcoming album which is due for release in the New Year.

LAST BREATH are a melodic rock band who are regularly compared to Nickelback and Foo Fighters, blending true rock music with a more commercial sound. This summer they have played festivals, won first prize in the Battle Of the Bands Final at the Marine Hall, Fleetwood (organised by Lancashire Council) and in November 2011 won the RNLI Sessions competition - and subsequently played an acoustic session at Aberystwyth Lifeboat House which was broadcast live over the internet. LAST BREATH will include some of their 5 singles currently available on iTunes, plus songs from their forthcoming album which they are currently recording.

IN BETWEEN ECHOES have a more funky sound, with a fusion of their influences including jazz, blues, funk, pop and blue-eyed soul, creating a sound probably best likened to Jamiroquai, John Mayer etc. Having played to mainly local Yorkshire audiences they are now playing gigs in different parts of the UK. IN BETWEEN ECHOES will include songs from their forthcoming EP in their set.

This is the first time any of the bands have played Liverpool (M.A.D.I.S.O.N originate from Telford, Last Breath from Blackpool and In Between Echoes from Leeds) and they are delighted to be offered the chance to be amongst the first indie artists to play The Dome.

Last Breath and M.A.D.I.S.O.N are two of the artists featured on the debut "Uncovered" compilation CD of indie artists. "Uncovered" has been scheduled for release on December 4th to coincide with the event at The Dome and the CD is available for pre-order and will be on sale at the show at just £5 for the CD.

The 1200 capacity live performance venue, situated in Grand Central on Renshaw Street provides the perfect setting for the full live band with the huge organ installed in 1907 acting as an impressive and unique backdrop behind the main stage. The Dome Grand Central is set to become a hub of creativity and set to be one of Liverpool’s leading live music, theatre, cabaret, variety and vaudeville venues.

Tribute band Guns and Roses to Rock The Dome Liverpool

Tribute band Guns and Roses to Rock The Dome Liverpool

This month on November 25th the Dome Grand Central opens its doors to the greatest Guns N’ Roses tribute you are ever going to see.

Guns & Roses are made up of five of the biggest Guns N’ Roses fanatics, handpicked from other well established GnR’s tribute acts to create a super-group and the ultimate tribute to these rebels of rock.

Formed in early 2011, Guns & Roses promise to create the closest tribute both in sound and image to the original band. Taking on the role of the iconic Axl Rose is the outstanding JDOG, former Guns4Hire member, whose voice and look bares an uncanny resemblance to the front man. Stepping in to the shoes of one of the most celebrated rock guitarists of all time is CJ, whose dedication to Slash and his epic guitar playing has seen him perfect those infamous solos with all the skill of Slash himself. This ex Guns2Roses is a seasoned professional whose talent has lead him to perform across the UK, Europe and the USA. Performing as Duff in this exceptional tribute act is Superhans who can sing and play Duffs songs with an unparalleled accuracy. On rhythm guitar for the band and performing in the role of Izzy is the multi-talented Stevie who has previously played across Europe with G2R as Duff. Completing the line-up is JC. An outstanding musician, he plays the drums with all the power and skill of Steve Adler and ties together the whole band to bring you the unique sound of the original Guns N’ Roses.

The band will be performing all of GnR’s classic songs including Welcome to the Jungle, Sweet Child o’ Mine and November Rain. As one of the most celebrated and well loved rock bands of the last 20 years, Guns ‘N Roses have sold over 100 million albums worldwide. Their debut album, Appetite for Destruction reached number 1 on the US Album Chart and sold in excess of 28 million albums worldwide.

The 1200 capacity live performance venue, situated in Grand Central on Renshaw Street provides the perfect setting for the full live band with the huge organ installed in 1907 acting as an impressive and unique back drop behind the main stage. The Dome Grand Central is set to become a hub of creativity and set to be one of Liverpool’s leading live music, theatre, cabaret, variety and vaudeville venues.

Liverpool hidden gem to re-open as new live entertainment venue

A 1200 capacity performance space is to open in one of Liverpool’s hidden architectural gems. The Dome, situated in Grand Central on Renshaw Street, in the heart of Liverpool City Centre is a former Methodist Church. The venue will officially re-open its doors next month with an exciting mixed programme of events.

The new venue in the Grade 2 listed building will provide a mixed genre of live performance from touring bands, theatre, stand-up comedy and variety nights they already have confirmed bookings from November 2011 through to May 2012.  Full details will be announced next week.

The owners Jenny Davies and partner Sean Finnerty already own the lease on the impressive Gaudi style Barcelona Bar on the ground floor of the building and have now bought the 25 year lease on the impressive upstairs venue.

Director Sean Finnerty said “This is a five year dream come true for me, it was a crying shame to see this stunning venue decaying and not put to good use and I was determined to do something about it, it took five years to secure the venue and work began a year ago. Along with the building owner Jerry O’Brien, we have put in a lot of time, energy and lifelong savings to get the venue back to public use”.

The owners want a space that encourages and develops new local talent, as well as providing a space for those already established in the industry nationwide. A special open day has been arranged for Sunday 16th October from 1-5pm inviting the city’s top promoters and festival organisers to take a look at the space and facilities and have the opportunity to chat to the owners.

Sean Finnerty continues “This area will be transformed in a year or so time, with Central Village coming to life between Bold Street and Renshaw Street and I want The Dome to be a big part of the regeneration of this area too. There is a gap for a venue of this size in the city centre and I am already impressed with the enquiries coming from local, national and international promoters to book the venue”.

The Dome offers theatre style seating on two levels with 500 fixed circle seats and an option of 700 standing or 500 seating downstairs in the stalls (Cabaret style tables is also an option), A huge organ installed in 1907 acts as an impressive back drop and stands proud behind the main stage. The venue has an inbuilt hi-tech lighting and sound system, two bars, catering facilities and an in-house promotions and production team.  The Dome will offer a wide range of affordable daytime hire rates to welcome local community groups through to full-scale conferences.

Grand Central is set to become a hub of creativity and The Dome set to be one of Liverpool’s leading live music, theatre, cabaret, variety and vaudeville venues.
