Jack Savoretti New Music Video Take Me Home and Album details

Jack Savoretti
Before The Storm
Including lead single Take Me Home
Label: Fullfill Records
Impact Date 04th June 2012

Since re-emerging on the live scene at the beginning of last year, acclaimed singer songwriter Jack Savoretti has been showcasing material from his new album Before The Storm this time joined on stage by his band The Dirty Romantics and captivating audiences wherever he goes.
Written with, amongst others, long time collaborator Steve Booker (co-writer of Duffy’s ‘Mercy’) and produced by the hugely sought after Martin Terefe and The Suppliers (Mary J Blige, James Morrison and Jason Mraz) this third studio album has already been getting support from BBC Radio 2, playlisting track Knock Knock, along with his duet with Sienna Miller Hate & Love used in The Vampire Diaries.

While his writing has always surpassed expectation, this new collection of songs sees an artist coming of age. Lyrically it remains a quintessential Jack Savoretti album, yet the recordings are far more diverse than ever before. With the romantic introspective poetry ever present, there is someone new, a darker, more experienced vocalist asking no longer for acceptance but looking for the good times and on his own terms.

It all began with his critically acclaimed debut ‘Between The Minds’ in 2006. Named BBC Radio 2’s Album Of The Week, three album tracks aired on ‘One Tree Hill’ and Jo Whiley called him ‘one to watch.’ Jack has been collecting critical praise ever since: Janice Long called him ‘astonishing in every way’ and The Daily Telegraph’s Neil McCormick described his voice as ‘raw, soulful and yearning…a voice that sounds like the truth’. 2012 sees Jack supporting Madison Violet in Germany, an early summer tour of the UK and festivals dates confirmed across the UK and Europe.

Counting Crows announce New CD Underwater Sunshine

RELEASED APRIL 9th

Multi-platinum American rock band, Counting Crows have announced they will be releasing their first new album in over 4 years on 9th April 2012. Underwater Sunshine (or What We Did On Our Summer Vacation) is a collection of songs, both familiar and obscure, interpreted by one of the most soulful and recognizable bands of the past two decades.

Underwater Sunshine is a testament of a band geek-obsessed with music. “There’s a million great songs written every day that you discover, and wish your friends could appreciate as much as you do,” says singer/songwriter Adam Duritz. “These songs come from bands young and old, stretching from the early 60s to last year. They’re all great and will hopefully be heard by a few more people now.”

Produced by Counting Crows and Shawn Dealey, Underwater Sunshine features tracks written by artists such as Big Star, Gram Parsons, Tender Mercies, Kasey Anderson and The Faces. Each rendition offers an entire spectrum of human emotion, delivered with the conviction and intense honesty the band is known for.

As their first independent release, it was the right time for the Crows to make this album. “If you wonder why we didn’t just write our own record, it’s simply because we wanted to do THIS one,” says Duritz, We now have the creative freedom to release albums like this and offer our fans more music than ever.”

In the spirit of becoming an independent band, the Crows will stream the new album, on demand in its entirety prior to release on radio station websites and other digital
partners. They are also giving away a free download of their new song, “Mercy” on http://www.countingcrows.com/

The Crows also gave their fans the opportunity to design their new album package. Just as the band is interpreting songs from others, fans became a part of this unique album by visually interpreting the Crows. The winning designer is working with the band’s creative director to develop the rest of the album layout. The contest was ran by Creative Allies, and is proving to
be their most successful contest to date.

Counting Crows will also partner with Indaba Music and Guitar Center to launch a contest in search of the best Counting Crows covers. After listening to all submissions, the band
will select 3 winning tracks to be awarded various prizes.

M Fallan release debut album

M Fallan release debut album

Born in 1982 in the tumult and fury of Paris, M. Fallan aka Matthieu H. (Hateful Monday, Impure Wilhelmina) spent his childhood in a little hamlet at the foot of the mountains. This dichotomy shows up in his musical evolution, whether it be from acoustic to noise, academic (guitar and piano) to self-taught (bass, drums, guitar, and howling madly in punk rock bands).
In 2009 he decided to go on the road with only his guitar to his name, taking up a solitary indie/folk/pop/rock challenge. Shanon Wright, Eliott Smith, Pedro The Lion, Chokebore or Cat Power are some of the artists whose approach he admires. So Matt recorded a 4 title demo at the end of 2009 ("Ecbatane EP"), and released his debut solo album "Contagious" in 2011 on GPS Prod, Roads Sweet Road, Kicking Records & Urgence Disk!
By the way, you can have an ear on M.Fallan music with the son "Whitered skin" available on streaming here.
