Marshall McFly - Splashin' Video

In advance of his forthcoming mixtape ‘#MarshallsWorld’, Marshall McFly takes you from the studio to shows revealing behind the scenes of his hip hop journey soundtracked by songs. It has been incorporated in a music video to add a different touch to the standard video blogs out now. This track entitled “Splashin” produced by MdotE. Featuring appearances from

Big Sean, Pepstar, Youngs Teflon, MdotE, A-Squeezy, Cleo Sol, Ash Catch’Em, Jack & Max, Remel London, Mo The Comedian, Kay (Playdot Apparel), Tazer Black (Fourtees) and more.

Born and raised in South London, Marshall McFly had relatively successful career in different collectives whilst working with the likes of Shystie (Dubplate Drama), Snakeyman (4321, Adulthood), Lee Brasco (Flee Gang) and Jade Dragon (The Bang Bang/Bump) to name few, before coming under the moniker of ‘Rooftop FlyBoyz’ in 2008. With little to no promotion, their debut single ‘Touching Down’ managed to receive airplay on Choice FM, Kiss 100, 1Xtra, MTV Base & Channel AKA, demonstrating the immense talent this rapper/songwriter possesses.

Marshall McFly has since released videos online, counting over 100,000 Youtube views in the process. He also recently filmed with Channel 4 as part of their Random Acts segment, specially commissioned three-minute films chosen for his bold and original expressions of creativity. Marshall McFly is also an ambassador for Kids Co a charity organised to help young people with educational facilities and ways to getting into employment. Marshall is a mentor in the musical department and gives motivational speeches to help encourage the young people who want the follow the same path as him.

Skip to 2011, and Marshall McFly is now lining up his most impressive work to date. With the Mixtape ‘#MarshallsWorld’ due for release in the first quarter of 2012, he has decided to unleash the 2nd visual from the project titled ‘Splashin’ to the eagerly anticipating public. Showcasing some well-practised production skills from MdotE, the single is driven by a soulful sample and throbbing bass stabs throughout, allowing Marshall McFly to tell a tale of girls, clubbing money and  motivation, making ‘Splashin’ one of the best visual concepts you will probably see all year.

The video and mixtape are both released via the established Splash World Music Group (a business enterprise which collectively manages a weekly radio show, promotes & hosts events and brings together a roster of artists from different backgrounds, for those that don’t know)
