Two-time Grammy-winner, composer, producer and one of the world’s most gifted, forward-thinking and eclectic bassists presents his highly anticipated new collection of songs at his first Manchester concert in 15 years. A true pioneer, Marcus Miller’s career continues to constantly evolve and change, keeping him at the forefront of jazz and one music's true great innovators.

Best known for his work with Jazz legend Miles Davis, Marcus Miller's resumé is brimming with over 500 recording credits on albums across the entire spectrum of musical styles. He has worked with artists such as David Sanborn, Herbie Hancock, Aretha Franklin, Eric Clapton, George Benson, Wayne Shorter, Grover Washington, Paul Simon, Mariah Carey, Chaka Khan, Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg, Billy Idol, Al Jarreau and Michael Franks.

Credited for developing the “slapping” and “thumb” bass techniques begun by Louis Johnson and Larry Graham, Miller has taken the four string bass to areas others wouldn’t dare, both as a producer and as a performer. He is coming to the UK to perform previously unheard material from his new album "Renaissance" set for release later this year, as well as old favourites from many of his best loved albums.
