The Fratellis announce UK Tour for April 2013

The Fratellis are halfway there on recording their comeback album - and they want to reassure fans it’s a return to their roots.
Jon, Baz and Mince have been working on the new record, since they announced their reformation in September, and the album will be out next year. “We’ve not changed in any way that is going to challenge people too much and you can’t really expect people to buy into what you are doing and then completely change it. You do enough to keep them motivated and interested.” Jon Fratelli
The Fratellis formed in March of 2005, and wasted no time in becoming Scotland’s biggest export to the world. In no less than 2 years the Glaswegians had sold over a million copies of the Tony Hoffer (Beck, Air) produced debut album, ‘Costello Music’, in the UK alone.
The peak of their achievements was picking up the Best British Breakthrough Gong at 2007 Brit Awards. An accolade the band is sincerely proud of as it was voted by listeners of BBC Radio 1.

It was a whirlwind 2 years in which they where labelled, ‘The best new band In Britain’ by The NME, and spent 3 weeks at no.2 when the album was first released in September 2006. No less than six months later they where playing a sold out national tour which included 4 nights at the historic O2 Academy Brixton.

Costello Music gave birth to some of the most catchy, sing along anthem’s in recent times, the thunderous Creepin Up The Backstairs, the heartfelt Whistle For The Choir and the epic Chelsea Dagger, a song so grand it’s verve is echoed across every major sporting ground and stadium up and down the country.
