Shockolady releases her new single ‘Hello’ on March 18
European pop sensation Shockolady releases her addictive new single ‘Hello’ on March 18, through Hot Beat Records.
Featuring up-and-coming DJ and producer, Timofey, who has worked with everyone from Akon, Katy Perry and Kelly Clarkson, ‘Hello’ is set to be yet another massive club hit for Shockolady, hot on the heels of 'I Like it Like That' (currently Number 20 and climbing the Music Week Pop Chart), ‘What’s the F...Fashion?’ (Number 1 in the UK Club Breakers Chart) and ‘Rock in my Bed’ (Top 20 Commercial Club Chart).
Taken from her forthcoming new album (due this summer) ‘Hello’ is a pure floor filler – fun, loud and very catchy, surprising, considering it’s actually about breaking up with someone. ‘It’s about that moment you’re told goodbye, when all you want to hear is hello,’ says Shockolady. ‘But the video couldn’t be further from this – It’s a bouncy, energetic dance video.’ Cue Space-age costumes and wigs a-plenty and some futuristic LED-clad dancers, from the internationally acclaimed performance group, The Stigma Show. The video was made in Germany by Camelot Films and Joe Dyer (Madonna/Kylie Minogue) with choreography from Nicholas Gilligan (London 2012 Olympic Games’ Closing Ceremony).
Remixes come courtesy of Wideboys (Katy Perry, Black Eyed Peas, Example, Labrinth), Andi Durrant/Steve More, (Flo Rider, Platnum, JLS) Bodybangers, (Pitbull, Klaas, Timati) and CJ Stone and DJ Onegin (UEFA EURO 2012 hymn “Endless Summer”).
Shockolady enjoyed her first chart success in the UK in 2010 with the single ‘What’s the F...Fashion?’ reaching Number 1 in the UK Club Breakers Chart, whilst the follow up, ‘Rock in my Bed’ made the Top 20 Commercial Club Charts. On the back of this, Shockolady became the face of JVC Germany’s new range of ‘BoomBlaster,’ which involved a major nationwide TV, radio, cinema and online advertising campaign, featuring her cover of T-Rex’s ‘Get It On.’
Shockolady’s new single, ‘Hello’ is out March 18.
