Highasakite release debut album and announce UK tour dates

Highasakite’s highly anticipated full-length debut Silent Treatment is out now. The band, which recently wrapped a US tour with London Grammar, has been earning praise worldwide. In America, NPR’s All Songs Considered included them in their SXSW round-up of “Favorite Discoveries and Memorable Moments,” noting that “This five-piece Norwegian band makes music with a hint of pop, powerful vocals and booming percussion”. Over in Australia, the band have been playlisted on Triple J, while in Norway, the band went to #1 in the album charts and are currently accounting for around 2.5%-3% of all airplay throughout the country.

Press support has been excellent in the UK, as well as encouraging airplay, including spins from Steve Lamacq, Lauren Laverne and John Kennedy. The album premiered last week on Nylon magazine, who said “...there’s no real way to pin down their sound--and this individuality, along with the layered melodies and captivating vocals, is what will stand the test of time. This is an album that’s dense, jam-packed with intimate ballads and rousing choruses and everything in between.”
