Gemma Hayes confirms UK and Ireland tour

Following the release of her acclaimed new album Bones + Longing, Irish singer-songwriter Gemma Hayes has confirmed a UK and Ireland tour. Gemma’s new single Palomino will be released on 20th April, with a special limited edition 7 inch released for Record Store Day on 18th April. Gemma also contributes vocals to the upcoming single from Above and Beyond, Counting Down The Days.

So far in 2015 Gemma has been busy in Europe, where Bones + Longing has just been released, including TV and radio sessions in Paris and Berlin. This video clip of her and Joe Chester performing a version of Chris Izaak’s Wicked Game, previously a radio hit for Gemma in France, was filmed in the Chapel at the Centre Culture Irlandais especially the French fashion website MadMoizelle.com -

21 years and 9 albums into their career, Brett and Rennie Sparks, otherwise known as The Handsome Family, finally got their reward for their genius songwriting and ceaseless touring. In early 2014 T Bone Burnett chose their 2003 song ‘Far From Any Road’ as the theme tune to the soon to be cult HBO TV series True Detective. The song has now had over 5 million YouTube views and, as a result, the band have been playing sold out across Europe, Australia and the USA. Catfish And The Bottlemen announce details of UK tour 2015

Catfish And The Bottlemen have today announced a run of UK and Ireland headline tour dates for 2015, beginning at O2 Academy Leeds on March 23 and ending at Dublin Whelan’s on April 8. The ten new dates will flank the previously announced shows at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on March 31 and April 1. Tickets for the new shows go on sale Friday 3rd October at 9am.

Catfish’s debut album The Balcony (out now through Communion/Island Records) went straight into the UK Top 10 on release earlier this month, coming ahead of a sold-out 18 date Winter 2014 headline tour, including a night at London Koko on November 7. The album has picked up Record of the Week slots at Radio 1 and 6Music, with the new single ‘Cocoon’ (out now) also on the A list at Radio 1, alongside playlist slots at 6Music and XFM, (plus their fifth consecutive Hottest Record in The World from Zane Lowe) and announced for the EA SPORTS FIFA 15 soundtrack alongside the likes of Jungle, Rudimental and Kasabian.

The much-anticipated release of The Balcony comes on the tail end of a hugely successful summer for the English lads from Llandudno, which has seen them play over 30 festival dates- to a collective audience of over 175,000 people- including the likes of Reading and Leeds, Latitude, Bestival and T In The Park, plus Ibiza/Mallorca Rocks alongside Jake Bugg. The debut album - recorded with Jim Abbiss (Arctic Monkeys) on production duties- also includes the singles Homesick (Zane Lowe Next Hype, XFM Evening playlist), Rango (Radio 1 BBC Introducing Playlist, Zane Lowe’s 100 Hottest Tracks of The Year, XFM Daytime playlist), Pacifier (Radio 1 INMWT playlist, XFM daytime playlist), Kathleen (Radio 1 playlist, 6Music Playlist, XFM Daytime playlist) and Fallout (Radio 1 playlist, Absolute playlist, XFM Daytime playlist and 6Music playlist).
