Pearl Jam confirmed as second headliner for Open'er festival

Pearl Jam confirmed as second headliner for Open'er festival

Open'er is proud to announce that it's second headliner for 2014 is Pearl Jam.  The rock music legends will join fellow headliners The Black Keys in Gydnia, Poland at one of Europe's best music festivals in July.  Pusha T has also been confirmed for the festival.

Pearl Jam announced today that they will embark on an eleven-date European tour in June and July of 2014. The band's summer tour kicks off on June 16th in Amsterdam, NL, and wraps up on July 11th in Milton Keynes, UK, including just two festival headlining slots (including Open'er Festival on July 3rd).

Pearl Jam released their much-anticipated tenth studio album, Lightning Bolt, on Monkeywrench Records/Republic Records on October 15, 2013 in the United States. Internationally, the album was released on October 14, 2013 and distributed by Universal Music Group International. Produced by Brendan O’Brien, Lightning Bolt marks Pearl Jam’s first studio album since the highly acclaimed Backspacer, which was released in September of 2009.

Lightning Bolt debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart as well as #1 on iTunes in over 50 countries. The album is available now at www.pearljam.com, via iTunes and all major retailers.

In 1991, Pearl Jam's debut album, Ten, catapulted the little-known Seattle-based band into superstardom. Ten studio albums, hundreds of unique live performances and hundreds of official live concert bootleg releases later, the band continue to be critically acclaimed and commercially successful -- with over 60 million albums sold worldwide.

Over the past twenty-two years, the band has remained a major force in rock and roll, as much for its aggressive loyalty to its social and political principles and restless experimentation as for its rock radio staples and best selling albums.

In 2011, Pearl Jam celebrated their 20-year anniversary with a destination weekend in Alpine Valley, WI and toured Canada, South America, Central America, and Mexico. The band also released the film Pearl Jam Twenty along with an accompanying book and soundtrack as part of the anniversary celebration.

Tickets to Open'er Festival now on sale in ALTERSHOP and Ticketpro outlets.

Jake Bugg First 2013 tour dates announced

Jake Bugg, the fast-rising hitmaker from Nottingham has announced a new set of dates, his first for 2013. This will be his biggest UK headline tour so far, and will follow his forthcoming sell-out autumn tour, as well as dates in Europe and the US with Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and Snow Patrol.

“Jake Bugg”, his eponymously-titles debut album, is released 15th October alongside the new single “Two Fingers”. His debut album is 14 songs, clocking in at under 40 minutes, that belie his eighteen years. Sharp, observant and honest, they inhabit a world no other new UK act is currently operating in. It opens with recent single “Lightning Bolt”, a scorching blues number with his Telecaster to the fore. New single “Two Fingers” follows with its swaggering chorus, whilst the likes of “Country Song” and “Broken” are more reflective. It’s a perfectly paced record, one that marks out Jake as the most exciting new UK act of 2012 and manages to effortlessly straddle the gap between authenticity and mainstream appeal. He counts Noel Gallagher, Lily Allen, Elton John, Chris Martin, Damon Albarn and Snow Patrol amongst his fans and has supported Michael Kiwanuka, Example and Lana Del Rey.
