The Wonder Stuff announce Christmas shows Sleigh The UK

The Wonder Stuff are back for Christmas, but this year they’ll be doing things a little differently. ‘Sleigh The UK’ has been as welcome during the festive season as a hot cup of mulled wine, but this December, the Stuffies return to play a handful of very special acoustic shows in London, Oxford, Birmingham and Newcastle. These performances will see Miles Hunt, Erica Nockalls and newest member Dan Donnelly play tracks from the length and breadth of the band’s extensive back catalogue.

Throughout the past 28 years, The Wonder Stuff have remained at the top of their game and play with more passion and attitude than most bands could dream of.  In recent years they have headlined festivals and toured the world, pleasing an army of loyal fans and welcoming new followers, captivated by the band’s charismatic live performance.

Frontman Miles Hunt explains: “Erica, Dan and myself just couldn't refuse the opportunity to come and have a seasonal ‘knees up’ with you. The three of us will be hitting the road in December, performing all of your favourite Wonder Stuff tunes acoustically.

The Wonder Stuff have had an amazing journey so far; seven albums, exciting spin-off projects and collaborations and now there’s even a book of Miles’ musings and a personal view of the band’s ups and downs between 1986-89. For full details, please visit: www.thewonderstuff.bigcartel.com.

So before you get sick of turkey (mince pies and your relatives), come and join The Wonder Stuff for some seriously good live music this Christmas.

The Wonder Stuff are pleased to announce that they will be joined by their two old sparring partners, Pop Will Eat Itself and Jesus Jones, for a short run of UK shows in December 2012.
All three bands scored major hits throughout the late 80’s and early 90’s and have enjoyed playing to audiences at home and overseas ever since. As three of the UK’s biggest Indie bands of their era they come together for the very first time for these four exceptionally special shows in London, Liverpool, Leeds and Birmingham.
Tickets are priced at £20.00 each and for a bill featuring these three bands, performing their hits and more, you gotta agree, it’s a snip!
The Wonder Stuff’s front man, Miles Hunt, had this to say about the tour, “Over the years we have had the pleasure of playing with both Pop Will Eat Itself and Jesus Jones, but never the three bands on the same bill. We have all have remained good friends since we the bands first formed back in the mid to late 80’s, so to have this opportunity to be together really is something quite special to all of us.”
Pop Will Eat Itself’s Graham Crabb adds, “PWEI are looking forward to teaming up with some great old friends for these christmas shows. We will be playing classics old and new and promise plenty of surprises. Look forward to seeing you all there”
Jesus Jones’ Mike Edwards says "We're really looking forward to all being on the same bill together - the three of us bands have been intertwined for so long! The Stuffies gave us our first big break when we supported them back in 1989, and The Poppies were at the first gig of that tour as well. We've all been friends for over 20 years, so it'll be amazing for us, but it's going to be great for the fans too - for a lot of people, this is their dream line up. It's the perfect Christmas present!"
Tickets go on general sale Friday 18th May 2012 from ticketweb.co.uk or 0844 477 2000.
