T in the Park is just 6 weeks away, and with the countdown officially underway and excitement building, festival organisers DF Concerts and founding partner Tennent’s Lager have added more acts to the line-up.

The Fancy Dress Friday theme has also been revealed, and in homage to the festival’s picturesque new setting Strathallan Castle, fans will be encouraged to dress up to the theme of the Ultimate Fairy Tale - think King or Queen, Knight or Jester, Dragon or Fairy. 

Singer-songwriter The Beach released debut single Thieves earlier this year, capturing the attention of BBC Radio 1’s Annie Mac (and her predecessor Zane Lowe), receiving airplay on the station. His gorgeous melodies meld epic crescendos and raw emotion. Widely hailed as one to watch, he is one of the most exciting singer-songwriter talents to emerge in recent years.

Elle King is an American recording artist whose musical style encompasses country, soul, folk, rock, and blues. Born in Ohio and raised in Brooklyn, Elle retains her roots in a style that blends those worlds of both grit and mid-western charm. She’s toured with Of Monsters and Men, Ed Sheeran, and James Bay, and ties her old soul and rock 'n' roll influences into a sound that’s all her own.

Belfast four-piece And So I Watch You From Afar also make their T in the Park debut this summer. The band released their fourth album Heirs earlier this month - a work of intense focus and adventurous abandon that reaches to the heart of artistic expression, packed with anthemic melodies and infectious hooks.

After 20 stellar years with Feeder - including 8 gold and platinum albums and over 3 million album sales – frontman Grant Nicholas appears as a solo artist. His debut solo record Yorktown Heights evoked the carefree spirit of Laurel Canyon in the ‘70’s while also sounding bang up to date - ambitious, largely acoustic, and full of head-spinning melodies. Its follow-up – the six-track mini-album Black Clouds, was released last month.

Welsh buzz band The Hearts have supported the likes of Paul Weller and Arcade Fire. They released a 2 track EP Run Free at the start of the year, with lead track Lips receiving major airplay on Radio 1 and XFM, and are one to watch at this year’s T in the Park.

Organisers have also revealed that the Slam Tent will be open on the Thursday night, with Animal Farm, Clouds and Ben Sims taking to the decks to get the party well and truly started.

With some of the biggest names in music heading for Scotland this summer, T in the Park’s debut outing at Strathallan Castle is shaping up to be an unmissable weekend over 10th – 12th July.

Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel has revealed the line-up for its 2015 opening party, which will launch the fifth season for the legendary hotel-meets-music venue on Playa d’en Bossa. Billed as a ‘Double Trouble’ opening party, the exhilarating line-up features pairings of some of the world’s most coveted DJs and rising talent in the underground dance music scene, making this one of the most anticipated openings on the island this year.

Headlining the party on Saturday 30th May, The Martinez Brothers bring their energetic and addictive performance style to Ushuaїa’s iconic decks and outdoor stage for the first time. Hailing from The Bronx, the pair are emerging as leaders within the global underground house and techno world and were listed as DJs of the Year by MixMag magazine in 2014. Since their first release in 2006, the boys have had season after season of big underground Ibiza hits including their 2013 remixes of Santos Resiak’s ‘A Better Light’ and Green Velvet’s ‘Bigger Than Prince’. Their remarkable ability to guide party-goers and impart their musical knowledge through their DJ sets will promise an explosive launch for Ushuaїa’s upcoming season.

Maya Jane Coles will go back to back with Kim Ann Foxman in the second headline act of the ‘Double Trouble’ music extravaganza, bringing their individual electronic music styles and influences together for a one-of-a-kind set. It won’t be the first time that the producer/DJs, based in the UK and New York respectively, have collaborated with Kim Ann Foxman providing vocals on Maya Jane Coles’ debut album in 2013 for the single ‘Burning Bright’. The dynamic duo will keep Ushuaїa’s poolside party-goers on their toes with an intriguing mix of techno, house, electronic, R&B and Dub.

Also returning to Playa d’en Bossa are Nic Fanciulli, Andrea Oliva, Deetron, Uner and Los Soruba, who have all appeared as part of Ushuaïa’s sell-out ANTS parties, which have revolutionised Saturdays on the island for the past two years and confirmed Ushuaїa as a breeding ground for underground DJs and unconventional electronic beats.

Adding to the enviable ‘Double Trouble’ line-up are Agoria, Davide Squillace, Kölsch, Catz ‘N Dogz and a back to back set from Claude Vonstroke and Miss Kittin, promising an unforgettable season opener for the iconic venue.

Marking the start of a celebratory fifth season for Ushuaїa Ibiza Beach Hotel, the ‘Double Trouble’ opening party will set a precedent for 2015’s daytime parties with attention-grabbing performances, dazzling pyro-technics and several surprises along the way.

It might be cold outside but things are really hotting up at Camp Bestival HQ! It’s all coming together for what is destined to be the wildest Camp Bestival yet, and boy do we have a gargantuan line-up announcement planned for early January. But because we’re just a bit too excited, and because it’s Christmas, we want to give you a tempting taster of what’s to come announcing two pretty special headliners and just some arts fun that will be gracing Camp Bestival Goes Wild this 30th July – 2nd August at Lulworth Castle on Dorset’s stunning Jurassic coast.

Rob da Bank says: “Here we go again, my wild and wonderful friends! It’s all getting pretty festive down at Camp Bestival HQ, and whilst we were sat in front of a blazing fire eating too many chocolates we thought why not spill the beans on just a smidgen of the acts that will play Camp Bestival 2015… So, without further ado, let’s intro Clean Bandit as our Friday night headliner who are gonna knock it out the castle with their string led electronic knees up, moving onto Saturday and our special guests will be the riotous Kaiser Chiefs and closing it all down in spectacular fashion one of my favourite acts of all time, Underworld, who are a blistering live act 20 years on from dubnobasswithmyheadman. Prepare to get Born Slippy and pretty wild! Have a fantastic Xmas all my Camp Besti buddies”. 

Yes indeed, the Caste stage will be bouncing this summer at our fest-holiday jamboree with a headline performance from techno gods Underworld who have recently been celebrating the 20th anniversary of their seminal dubnobasswithmyheadman release with what we can only describe as utterly mind-blowing live shows, and we just can’t wait to see them!

Underworld said of their show closing headline set: “We’re really excited to be making our debut at Camp Bestival in 2015. We'll be bringing a show for acid house veterans and festival first timers alike, so see you there next summer”.

Baroque pop giants Clean Bandit will also be playing a brilliant headline set for us! Fusing lush classical motifs with deep house and electro pop, they blew us away a couple of years ago, and now they’re back at the top of the bill to do it all again! Ace. And finally for now, we can announce our very special guests, the ultimate sing-along mob, Kaiser Chiefs! We predict a riot of mums and dads singing at the top of their voices on Saturday night. And don’t forget, there are a host of new acts, old faves, and way beyond still to announce!

There will, as ever, be a thrilling mix of theatre, shows, attractions, activities, poets, authors and talks for all the family, including some incredible new shows like The Cat in the Hat. Yes! We’re ridiculously excited to say that Dr Seuss’s best-loved creation will be rocking the tots (and let’s face it, everyone else) in Lulworth with us this summer. If you can find a more joyous and lively kids theatre show we’ll eat our hats! And back by extremely popular demand were delighted to say Dick V Dom Go Wild in the Ring will see our favourite duo unleashing their unstoppable madness for everyone to enjoy. Anyone who’s seen them before will know that they’re unmissable, so make sure you’re there! There’s so much more arts, theatre, shows and more to announce, from the most beautifully enchanting to the sublimely silly, so watch this space when we tell all in January.

And we’ll also have an adventurous mix of truly wild fun and games throughout the weekend, including Explore Your Inner Beast, which will be all about bushcraft, den building, foraging, survival skills and wild cooking, and Woodland Adventures, which will maximise the wild times with mud kitchens, campfires, nature hunts, mass sleep outs, daily picnics and falconry. With six weeks to go until the Festival gates open, the line-up for the Alternative Stage at Reading and Leeds has been announced. Reading tickets are sold out but those looking for a reason to buy Leeds tickets need look no further than this eye-opening announcement.

On top of the already huge line-up including headliners Queens Of The Stone Age, Paramore, Arctic Monkeys and Blink 182 comes a host of the best in comedy and alternative talent from the UK and beyond plus the annual after-hours takeover from Transgressive Records.

Heading up the comedy line-up is “comedy’s Mozart” and all-round polymath Bill Bailey. His unique mix of surreal and sharp wit with brilliant musical mash-ups makes him consistently rated as one of the funniest acts in the country. From Kraftwerk tributes to dubstep hymns, to releasing his own ‘In Metal’ album, music is an integral part of his stand-up sets, making Bill the perfect addition to the Reading and Leeds line-up

As a regular on TV favourite ‘Mock The Week’ and multiple Radio 4 shows, the deadpan stylings of British comedian Milton Jones are sure to prove an Alternative Stage highlight of the weekend. With sidesplitting one-liners aplenty, his Reading & Leeds performance is not to be missed. 

Also heading for Leeds will be Adam Buxton of BBC6 Music fame who will perform his BFI London show BUG. The show celebrates the wacky wonderfulness of the latest interesting, strange and otherwise noteworthy music videos and the accompanying You Tube comments.   

With a line-up also including parody wonderkids turned TV stars The Midnight Beast, comedy hip hop duo Rubberbandits, BBC3’s ‘Uncle’ star Nick Helm andThe Helmettes, comedian and ‘Eastenders’ regular Terry Alderton as well as ‘Stand Up For The Week’ regular Sara Pascoe and BBC 3 mockumentary stars People Just Do Nothing, the Alternative Stage is truly one of the must see parts of the festival.

Online sensations Jack and Dean also join the line-up alongside Canadian comedian, writer and actress Katherine Ryan, stand up, novelist and sports pundit Mark Watson, fresh-faced panel show regular Chris Ramsay, English standup and Edinburgh Fringe success Seann Walsh, fast rising UK star Daniel Sloss and ‘Show Me The Funny’ finalist Tiffany Stevenson.

The comedy bill expands even further with sharp witted and social funny man  Glenn Wool, London comedy circuit regular Carl Donnelly, comedy songwriter Phil Nichol, Radio 1’s Tom Deacon, breakthrough Australian comic Felicity Ward, ‘I’m A Celebrity…’ co-host Rob Beckett, Radio 4 Extra’s Romesh Ranganathan and award winning Welshman Matt Rees. BBC3 actor and comedian Jeff Leach, ‘Viral Tap’ presenter and funnyman Matt Richardson, stand-up comic and actor Tom Price, Irish comedian Jarlath Regan, the livewire and ever-energetic Eric Lampeart and Sunday Assembly co-founder Sanderson Jones who will ‘Kick The S#*! Out Of Your Morning’ with a show that contains ‘digital comedy’ including dutch clapping, venn diagrams and chat roulette.

The famous Alternative Stage is far more than just another festival comedy tent, as it bills some of the best in forward thinking and genuinely alternative spoken word to the stage. Fast gaining a name as one of the UK’s most vital talents, Kate Tempest will be bringing her vitriolic and socially conscious fusion of music, spoken word and hip-hop to the festival performing tracks from her album ‘Everybody Dance’. Alongside Tempest will be the equally forward thinking and ever-groundbreaking Beardyman whose awe-inspiring beat boxing and live looping skills make him an act truly like no other. Joining them will be the dubstep-influenced expert London beat boxer Reeps One as well as the ever thoughtful, spoken word poetry of Wonder Woman Hollie McNish.

On top of this, Transgressive’s annual takeover brings together another hotly anticipated late-night line-up to Reading and Leeds. The independent label is celebrating their 10th anniversary with a specially curated bill that is their biggest yet.

Hi-jacking the Saturday and Sunday nights in Leeds, the stage will run from 9.30pm until late, and Sunday features an exclusive set from multi-million-selling, global pop megastar Kelis. From Brit Awards through to NME Awards and with huge hits including ‘Milkshake’ and upcoming single ‘Friday Fish Fry’ in her arsenal, Kelis’ set is sure to bring the house down.

Having just finished a stomping 12 week residency at XOYO, modern house pioneers the 2 Bears composed of Joe Goddard (of electronic band Hot Chip) and Raf Rundell join the line-up alongside electronic maestro Star Slinger, the massively tipped Gengahr,  garage, house and R&B influenced BLONDE plus FAMY and the Transgressive and Bless teams. Live visuals will be provided throughout the night with more surprise appearances guaranteed on the nights themselves.

Transgressive will be taking over Friday night in Reading bringing Dj-ing talent to the Silent Arena courtesy of BBC Radio 1's Huw Stephens and Jen Long, alongside Transgressive Soundsystem residents.

In past years we have had everyone from Disclosure, SBTRKT, London Grammar, Warpaint, Foals, Metronomy, Johnny Flynn, to Laura Marling, Jon Hopkins, Two Door Cinema Club, Pulled Apart by Horses and Fuck Buttons come and play for us, often providing some of their earliest or first ever festival shows.”

All of this sits alongside parties from Rebel Bingo, Buttoned Down Disco, Disco Shed and an extra special Frank Turner DJ set for Propaganda.

ArcTanGent add five more stellar acts to complete the best festival line-up ever for fans of math and post rock.

ArcTanGent boasts the best festival line-up ever for fans of math, post and noise rock. The final five bands added to the bill include Crippled Black Phoenix, Ef, Luo, Karhide and Hark.

This completes the line up which includes a number of exclusives: Japanese instrumental behemoths MONO (European exclusive) are to headline the festival alongside This Will Destroy You (UK festival exclusive), Russian Circles (European Festival exclusive) and God Is An Astronaut. 

Takaakira Goto of MONO says: "We are very honored to play at ArcTanGent Festival this year alongside so many incredible bands. Our new album is currently in progress for a release date later this year, so hopefully we will share a preview of it. As always, thank you for your support. A 2013 fans’ favourites line up has been previously announced for the Thursday “Early Entry” night of ArcTanGent. The special returning guests night is to be headlined by And So I Watch You From Afar with support from Three Trapped Tigers, TTNG, The Physics House Band, Baby Godzilla, Nordic Giants, The St. Pierre Snake Invasion and Theo. 

Festival organisers Goc O’Callaghan, Simon Maltas and James Scarlett have confirmed that there are guests from all over the world coming to this years ArcTanGent festival. Goc O’Callaghan says “we’ve had fans from as far as Mexico, the USA, Canada, Australia, Egypt and China book tickets to come to ArcTanGent this year, along with people from most of the countries in Europe. When we started ArcTanGent we hadn’t pre-empted the international draw our line up would have but we welcome our overseas guests with open arms.”

Hype for this year’s ArcTanGent is building. On June 13th Finsbury Park will host an ArcTanGent & Signature Brew Live night. Axes, one of ArcTanGent 2013’s fans favourite bands, will headline the night with support coming from Samoans and Bear Makes Ninja. The night comes with a twist; music fans and beer lovers can enjoy a pint of ArcTanGent Pale Ale, which has been specially crafted by Signature Brew for the event. 

Tickets for this year’s festival are selling well with high chance of a sell-out year if sales continue at the current rate.
