Paul Rudd Set To Wake The World With a Summer Anthem

In a year which is already boasting a swathe of memorable anthems set to live long in to the summer, prolific house music producer Paul Rudd has let loose a track which is set to rival the likes of Swedish House Mafia and Armin Van Buuren.

Rudd follows up his last single, ‘Trust In Me’ feat Amanda Wilson, which was a big hit in the USA by teaming up with the raw talent of Sam Calver on vocals. Wake The World Tonight has already been tipped by major DJ’s and artists as being Rudd’s breakthrough British chart topper!

Top remixer and DJ Cutmore said “Massive Anthem alert for this summer. Will definitely be putting this into my sets!”

Rudd has had previous collaborations with Wilson and 80s Diva Jaki Graham but has used Calver’s rock music roots to produce a fresh and uplifting tune which is sure to fill dance floors from Brixton to the Balearics. Indeed Rudd is heading to Ibiza after the single release to film the music video and guest DJ at various well known clubs across the summer.

Calver, 25 from Hastings in East Sussex, is due to play with the Kinks and Toploader before opening this year’s Hastings Music Festival.

“I am delighted to lend my vocals to one of Paul’s tracks,” said Calver. “We have been in talks for a while but we hadn’t come up with the right sound until now. I penned the song and knew straight away that it would work well on a dance track.”

“Sam is a fresh talent in the industry and I am so glad I persuaded him to try out his vocals away from rock music for my track,” enthused Rudd. “His sensational voice will appeal to all my girl fans that’s for sure!”

Wake The World Tonight will also include remixes by Andi Durrant and Steve More, Timothy Allan and Mark Loverush, Cutmore and Mikael Wills.

US star Paul Rudd reveals wish to make a single with his UK house music producer namesake

American actor and comedian Paul Rudd told the BBC that he wants to team up and make a single with his British namesake, the UK house music producer and DJ, Paul Rudd. "I know Paul Rudd," said the actor known for his roles in Anchorman, I Love You Man and Friends. 

"I'd love to meet him and I think he and I should team up in some way and call ourselves 'DJ's Paul Rudd!'" he stated in an interview with Edith Bowman whilst promoting his recent film, This is 40. 

Rudd also revealed that he used to DJ at Bar Mitzvah's at weekends to earn extra money whilst he was at school. The UK's Paul Rudd responded by saying he would be delighted with a potential link up.

 "I'm a big fan of his films and I'd like the opportunity to work together to make a really unique record." 

Rudd's latest single, Trust in Me, featuring Amanda Wilson, is out on March 4th.

'Voice of World Dance Music' Amanda Wilson teams up with house music producer Paul Rudd for a double single release

Singer songwriter Amanda Wilson and prolific house music producer Paul Rudd have announced that they will release two singles together in February and March 2013 on Rudd’s own label.

Amanda has had two UK top 20 singles with dance act ‘The Freemasons’ and more recently scored another major worldwide smash hit with ‘Seek Bromance’ in collaboration with Tim Berg aka Avicii and Samuele Sartini - Ministry of Sound.

Amanda, once labelled ‘the voice of world dance music’ due to her four octave vocal range, has given Rudd the opportunity to produce something very new for her.

“We will be releasing two tracks,” said Paul. “When Amanda and I got together in the summer I had a dance track in my mind but after spending so much time in the studio together, we have decided to do add something that Amanda and I have never ever done before - we have produced a ballad. It’s an absolutely beautiful tune, which we have named Trust in Me.

“I have just been mesmerised by her voice. It really lends itself to this ballad which I know will be a hit. Everybody that has listened to it has said just that.”

Amanda is equally enthused on her first big single release since the huge success with Avicii and ‘Seek Bromance’. “I just love Trust in Me and have surprised myself just how much I enjoyed producing a ballad as it is a departure from what I have worked on before. I just want everyone to listen to it now!”

However, the pair’s legions of dance fans will not be left disappointed as the club remix will be released just a few weeks after the ballad.

The single will also include remixes by Andi Durrant (Capital FM), Loverush UK and Mikael Wills.

Trust In Me, by Paul Rudd featuring Amanda Wilson will be released by Paul Rudd on 10th February 2013, with the dance version being available to buy on 3rd March 2013.

Paul Rudd, one of the TOP 50 DJ’s in the UK, and labelled as “one of dance music’s hottest new DJ’S” [Richard Lee, Mastermix UK], has now been selected by judges to compete in the Unsigned One-to-Watch category of MTV’s ‘Brand New For 2012’ competition.

He is one of the few DJs to be selected in this initial list, and has the chance to follow in the footsteps of Jessie J, Tinie Tempah and Lady Gaga, to win the backing of the world’s biggest music TV channel, MTV. Voting for the competition opened on 9^th December and will close on 8^th January 2012. Paul, 32, from Dartford, Kent, has been steadily building his reputation as a world class DJ since winning 'Search for a Star' at the Capital Radio Cafe in Leicester Square with Neil Fox and gaining his first residency at Galaxy Nightclub, London. From there he has wowed clubbers across Europe with his live performances at various high profile clubs, as well top dance events in Ibiza including DJing with the world famous Hed Kandi. Paul is currently working in Britannia Row Studios, London with legendary music producer Tony Matthew (Soul 2 Soul, Kylie, JLS) on his debut album, ‘Sound Of London’.
