Mumford & Sons confirmed for Glastonbury Festival

Mumford and Sons are set to play this year's Glastonbury festival, organiser Michael Eavis has confirmed.

The festival chief told Glastonbury FM radio that the band would be playing on the Park Stage at the event, which takes place in Somerset on June 25-27.

When asked what music he was listening to these days he said, "A band called Mumford and Sons, you might get fed up with it eventually but I'm still enjoying it. They will be playing up in the Park this year, so that'll be good."

The final batch of Glastonbury tickets are set to go on sale on April 11, it was recently revealed. Meanwhile, Eavis has also said that he and his co-organiser and daughter Emily Eavis want Snoop Dogg to play at the event.

U2, Muse and Stevie Wonder headline this year's Glastonbury.
