When i suddenly got an email out of the blue from a gentleman called Matt Stevens asking me to review his album i was both hesitant and thrilled at the same time. I like to experience new music and especially when its as good as this. This is the second album from this London based musician so imagine if you can, a mix of Roger Waters, Radiohead with touches of latin exuberance with jazz and classical thrown in for good measure and you have started to understand the music of Matt Stevens on "Gho
st". I listened to this, in part, in the sunshine. The rays beating down on me as Matt worked his fingers elequantly through each track. This is the ideal soundtrack to relax,chill out and get lost in. Stand out tracks for me personally were the title track Ghost and Glide.
