Reeps One announces UK tour dates
Reeps One is a force that has drawn worldwide attention outside the conventional world of a beatboxer, with an army of online followers and over 20 Million views on YouTube. Reeps One Aka Harry Yeff is a multi faceted artist, 2 x winner UK Beatboxing champion, with a pioneering vocal style inspired by Dubstep, Garage, Grime and Deep House he defines a musical genre of his very own, known as FACE MUSIC.The forthcoming UK shows are the cherry on the cake to a electrifying festival season which saw him grace the stages of a huge number of festivals including Secret Garden Party, Bestival, Boomtown, Reading and Leeds.
2013 has also seen Reeps complete his first run at Edinburgh Fringe, sold out London’s Royal Albert Hall, Elgar Rooms and recently collaborated with the likes of Mike Patton (Faith No More), Rizzle Kicks, and Foreign Beggars. He was handpicked to participate in ‘Africa Express’, alongside Damon Albarn, Dead Prez and John Paul Jones of the Led Zepplin and recently described by the NME as "Vocal percussion on another level and a step up from the been-there-done-that traditional beatboxing".
Not just content with conquering the world of sound, Reeps was an early starter in the world of live art, with his bold, unpredictable style he has represented England a number of times at the high pressure, international art battles across Europe with Secret Walls. He has also drawn at Milan Design Week, Designers Bloc and worked with Reebok at Bread and Butter Barcelona.
Marrying his passion for art and music he has delved into the world of cymatics (the study of visible sound and vibration) to create his first AV Show, Organic Electronic, using physical principals to create unique visuals and artwork.
This November Reeps One will take in some of the UK’s best-loved music venues such as, London’s Jazz Cafe, Cardiff’s Full Moon, Bristol’s Exchange, Belfast’s XporT13 and Sunderland’s Independent, keep your minds and ear open for this Organic Electronic experience.
