Fresh from their A.I.M Hardest Working Band Award in September, Sunderland’s Frankie and The Heartstrings continue the graft in November with the first of two new releases through their Pop Sex Ltd imprint. City-mates Lilliput - one of the North East’s finest bands of 2013 – release their debut EP ‘Who Knows Where The Time Goes?’ via the ‘Heartstrings’s Pop Sex Ltd on November 25th. The first track to emerge from the EP is ‘Nothing To You

‘Who Knows Where The Time Goes?’ is a seven-track, flowing blend of folk-rock and baroque-pop. The five piece pay credence to their influences; The Beatles and Beach Boys immediately spring to mind, quickly joined by contemporary bands such as Fleet Foxes, The Bees and The Coral.

‘Heartstring’s frontman Frankie Francis notes “there aren't many bands today that can boast the magical harmonising talents that Lilliput possess. This may sound like it came naturally, but it’s down to the dedication of the band to practice hard around day jobs.”

Regionally known for being as clinical live as they are on record, Lilliput have supported the likes of Field Music, Poor Moon, Fossil Collective, and Treetop Flyers and will play an in-store show at the Heartstrings’ Pop Recs Ltd record store on November 28th ahead of a run of UK shows.

Current upcoming UK gigs (more TBC):

20th Nov – The Cluny, Newcastle

28th Nov - Pop Recs (Instore gig), Sunderland

29th Nov - The Baltic, Newcastle

30th Nov - Westgarth Social Club, Middlesbrough
