When a new band suddenly pops out of seemingly nowhere and has already supported full UK tours with the likes of The Rifles and have played shows with Reverend and the Makers and Circa Waves, you could be forgiven for assuming they were being forced on an unsuspecting public.

Polar States are a band who in the space of 6 short months have churned out a stadium worthy set from the confines of a Toxteth council flat.

Impressing and consequently working with a Grammy Award winning producer the lads have songs as varied as the emotions they are charged with, as the band wax lyrical about the ‘Roads We Used To Use’, ‘Dark Corners’ and everything in between.

The debut single, Concrete, released Monday 6th October, is 2 mins 51 seconds of raw ‘pushing back at the tides’ which take us all down to the cold concrete many people call home.

Paul, Josh, Phill and Mark are four everyday lads who are anything but when it comes to making music. Polar States is a shared dream, a way of propelling themselves from ordinary Northern life; glorifying it along the way.

SHOWS: SEPT 11 - AAA, HIGH ST KENSINGTON, LONDON
OCT 7 - NIGHT AND DAY CAFE, MANCHESTER
NOV 8 - EVAC, LIVERPOOL (SUPPORTING THE HEARTBREAKS)
