Manu Delgado to play The Capstone Theatre Liverpool

Manu Delago and his band Handmade are coming to Capstone Theatre on Friday 19th April after creating a stir supporting pop sensation Bjork on her world tour. With performances described as diverse, delicate and sophisticated, which beautifully enhance the heavily rhythmic and free flowing-spherical sections, Isa Kurz (vocals, piano and violin), Phillip Moll (base, synth and vocals), Manu Delago (hang and drums), Chris Norz (drums, FX 7 light) form Manu Delago Handmade and are destined to music’s next break out stars.

Famed as a solo artist for playing the hang, a UFO-like hand-played sound sculpture and described by the Telegraph as ‘a masterful and sensitive musician’ Manu Delago started his solo career after he got four million hits on YouTube and has played alongside Icelandic songstress and musical icon Bjork on her world the world. As a band Manu Delago Handmade have not only performed in five continents but also recorded and performed with the London Symphony Orchestra and collaborated with many exciting artists.

The band’s new album is destined for success and is being produced by Matt Robertson who has worked with Bjork herself and The Prodigy. Their new material explores a beautiful flutter of sounds, stunning vocal lines with the hang perfectly accompanying the vocals. The album has a vast range of music including chunky, electronic beats.

This unique band show a mature, extraordinary understanding of orchestration, mounding and continually changing textures to create worldly sounds with each piece of music and are an exciting addition to The Capstone Theatre’s April line-up.
