12 Dirty Bullets review @ O2 Academy Liverpool

12 Dirty Bullets review @ O2 Academy Liverpool

12 Dirty Bullets are a young, 4 piece band from West London who are currently taking the UK, Europe and also the USA by storm, after 2 separate tours there last year. They have picked up an award on the way and are currently in the middle of their much awaited Motown In Your Town tour, which brought them to the O2 Academy Liverpool, for the 1st time ever, supporting Catfish and the Bottlemen last night

From the get go, 12 Dirty Bullets commanded the downstairs stage at the Academy. With guitar riffs and drum beats booming across the room, they had the crowd enthralled and bouncing along with them. With songs like, "Fat Man" a catchy rock number with witty lyrics and "Champagne and Cocaine" a very early Arctic Monkeys influenced track and a highly energetic performance throughout, especially from the drummer, Joe Cotterill,  you can see why they are getting a huge fan base and winning respect throughout the music industry.

For me though, I have to admit, I've never been a huge fan of anything resembling the Arctic Monkeys, (sorry guys) but I can appreciate their talent for lyrics and definitely their on stage style and enthusiasm.

Lead singer, Jamie Jamieson's vocals are full of angst and a certain rawness, that brings their songs to life, unfortunately, the sound man in charge of his mic, didn't do him justice. Listening to them on line proved this But I have to say I love love loved "Fat Man" and had it buzzing around my head for the rest of the night.

12 Dirty Bullets release New Song and announce UK tour dates

12 Dirty Bullets continue the Motown in your Town this April and May with 16 live dates across the UK.

They have made a  new song from their forthcoming second LP available to hear. Across Europe they picked up national press attention and, following two USA tours (where they made the radio industry charts with ‘Motown’ (US version), were a PureVolume Band Of 2011.

12 Dirty Bullets rounded off their amazing year on a sell-out UK tour ending with a Camden Koko headline and a groundswell of fans. These latest dates include towns and cities that they missed originally. "We love playing live and to go to places we’ve never been to. On this tour we have several new towns, which I’m looking forward to". says bass player, Josh Jamieson.
Whilst also touring,  the band have produced their second album which is due for release later this year. The intense hard work is paying off, and their next releases are anticipated.

12 Dirty Bullets announce UK tour December 2011

With a fierce buzz on both sides of the Atlantic, 12 Dirty Bullets operate through their self-made independent label, Fatman Records. Touted by the BBC as a “fiery young energetic, swaggering West London band”, 12 Dirty Bullets have poured their own blood, sweat and tears into what they do.
They write, produce, compose and mix everything themselves. Its about untold hours in the studio and coast to coast tours, building up an intensely dedicated following in the UK, US and mainland Europe, whilst holding down day jobs to make ends meet. All in the pursuit of music.
This is, purely, a band that will do everything they can, to do what they love forever.
Having just wowed America on a massive US tour. 12 Dirty Bullets have just debuted with ‘Motown’ on American Radio Industry Charts. These homecoming dates round off a year, unheard of for an independent act.
