Lethal Bizzle, Raleigh Ritchie and More Announced For Sundown Festival 2015

More huge names have been added to Sundown Festival 2015, with Lethal Bizzle, Raleigh Ritchie, Shadow Child and a host of others joining an already huge line-up for the biggest pop party taking over Norwich this summer. With just months to go until the event, they join a mammoth line-up including Rudimental, Nero (live), Tinie Tempah and more.

One of Grime’s pioneering figures, Lethal Bizzle is no rookie to the festival circuit, and after nearly a decade in the spotlight he knows how to get a crowd moving. With hits including ‘Rari Workout’, ‘POW!’ and his groove-worthy new single ‘Fester Skank’, the dench instructor himself promises to provide an unforgettable set on the main stage on Saturday 5th September.

Bringing sultry RandB with a gritty hip-hop edge, Raleigh Richie has also been added to the line-up, set to make a main stage appearance on Sunday 6th September, playing before the likes of Labrinth, Maverick Sabre, Wretch 32 and more of the world’s hottest pop, dance and urban acts.

Elsewhere across the festival, acclaimed producers Shadow Child and Low Steppa join the incredible Defected stage line-up on Saturday, while DC Breaks and Culture Shock have been added to the undeniably massive Andy C Presents RAM takeover on Sunday.

Campers arriving on site Friday 4th September will also be delighted to hear that dance tastemakers SubSoul will be hosting a huge campers-only opening party to fully kick off the weekend for those staying on site from the first day. The likes of Friend Within, DJ SKT, Gotsome, Toyboy and Robin, Apres and Icarus all look set to get the party started in style, starting off what promises to be a phenomenal weekend.

Ibiza Rocks announce Rudimental, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Spandau Ballet

Ibiza Rocks 2015 Rudimental, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Spandau Ballet

Ibiza Rocks announce Rudimental, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Spandau Ballet

This summer Ibiza Rocks will celebrate ten incredible and hugely influential years on the White Isle with a line up that brings together festival giants, music icons and the very best of the new breed of rising stars. New additions include Rudimental, Catfish and The Bottlemen and Spandau Ballet who will proudly return to play Ibiza for the first time since 1981 when they pioneered an electronic music revolution.  Supports come from hotly tipped new talents Shura, Slaves, Krept & Konan, Blonde, Karen Harding and Sam Sure.

Since playing Rocks in support of Jake Bugg last summer, Llandudno lads Catfish and the Bottlemen have gone on to win the BBC Introducing Award at the very first BBC Music Awards, released their debut album ‘The Balcony’ to mass critical acclaim and chalked up a sold out tour in the US. Currently carving their way through their second sold out headline tour of the UK, the band also announced two Brixton Academy shows for November, which sold out in 6 minutes. Widely hailed as Britains next great guitar band Catfish and the Bottlemen will make a heroic return to the famous poolside Rocks stage as headliners on 15th July, for one of the most highly anticipated live shows in the Balearics.

Another sensational live act returning to the world-famous Rocks stage this summer is Best Album BRIT Award winners Rudimental. Rocks championed Rudimental long before they hit the big time and booked their debut Ibiza show in 2012 at the Ibiza Rocks Hotel where they stayed, partied and played, big time! It will be a proud moment to have these boys back to headline on 29th July, for what will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of the 14 week long season from one of the best live acts on the planet right now.

Rudimental said: “We can’t wait to come back.  Ibiza Rocks is a lovely story for us, we saw Dizzee Rascal at Ibiza Rocks when on holiday there and then a year later Feel The Love happened and we DJ'd with Disclosure and Zane Lowe and then played live last year which was one of the best nights of our summer. There’s such history there for us. It’s always such a good vibe and the idea to do a party in a hotel is just brilliant. As soon as we finish a gig at Ibiza Rocks, we just want to get in the crowd and party with everyone. We’re part of that culture so we want to rave as well. Ibiza Rocks, we love you. Rudimental are coming for you!!"

Hot on the heels of announcing The Libertines to headline Ibiza Rocks 10th Birthday Party in July, another truly iconic British band that provided the soundtrack to a generation are reunited and ready to return to Ibiza.  Spandau Ballet have sold over 25 million records and amassed 23 hit singles across the globe since the late 70s. From fully-fledged members of the iconic Blitz Club scene to one of the super-groups of the 80s, the band spearheaded the New Romantic pop culture movement born out of the nightclub scene.  One of the most significant gigs of Spandau Ballet’s career was in 1981 at Ibiza’s very own Ku Club (now Privilege), chosen by the band simply because it was billed as the most outrageous club in the world.

Unlike any band before them, Spandau completely understood the currency of the dancefloor and the significance of playing in Ibiza at a time when the clubs were purely packed with Spanish hipsters completely unaware of the London fashionistas about to blow their minds and make their mark, both culturally and musically.  This groundbreaking trip bridged the gap between the Ibiza and London club scenes and Spandau Ballet opened Ibiza’s doors to a UK audience with one incredible, inspirational and influential gig that was to change Ibiza’s music landscape forever. After more than 30 years since that monumental moment, Ibiza Rocks is proud to bring Spandau Ballet back to the Balearics for a very special headline show under the stars on 19th August. Link to Spandau Ballet in Ibiza images from 1981 here: http://www.mirrorpix.com/offer/111

Gary Kemp, Spandau Ballet said: "Back in 1981 Spandau were playing one off events at the hottest clubs across the world from New York to St Tropez to the Beat Route in London and The Ku Club had a reputation for being pretty outrageous, in fact the night before we played we went to the club and someone released a bull onto the dancefloor which ended up in the swimming pool. We took over some of our London friends, before us no British people went to these clubs and that was when the conversation between the two nightlife’s began and Ibiza club culture was born. We're really looking forward to going back and playing Ibiza Rocks"

As well as welcoming festival headliners and music icons, Rocks has a rich history of spotting and supporting the best new talent on the circuit.  One of the most genuinely exciting bands that fit that bill are acclaimed punk duo Slaves who will support The Libertines at the hugely anticipated 10th Birthday Party. Bristol duo Blonde, who already boast a No.7 hit single with ‘I Loved You’ will be the very first act of the summer to take to the stage, supporting Years & Years at the Opening Party. MTV Brand New 2015  ‘Best Newcomer‘ winners Krept & Konan will support Sigma whilst Black Butter Records’ bonafide ‘one to watch’ Sam Sure will support Rudimental.  Karen Harding may be a fresh face on the scene but has already scored a Top 10 single with her MNEK-produced ‘Say Something.’ Karen will support Clean Bandit this summer whist fellow fast-rising female singer/producer and BBC Sound of 2015 nominee Shura will support Jungle.  Future stars, live under the stars.

Shane Murray, Brand Director said: “The energy created by a live band playing under the stars in Ibiza is unique and to celebrate 10 years of Ibiza Rocks with some of the best acts in the world is truly special. The significance of Spandau Ballets 1981 gig at Ku probably hasn’t been recognised and we’re hugely proud to be bringing them back to the island for the first time in almost 35 years.  They allowed for the meeting of two cultures, which is something we did with Rocks again almost 25 years later. We have mass appreciation for the greats and huge passion for new talent. We booked Rudimental for their first ever Ibiza show and have watched them soar. We’ve got the hottest guitar band of the moment in Catfish & the Bottlemen coming back as headliners. Then of course there’s the gig that everyone is already talking about, The Libertines. This summer will be a proud one. 10 Years of Rocks…it’s only just the beginning.”

MTV will be the exclusive broadcast partner for Ibiza Rocks for the third year running, premiering six 30-minute artist specials and an hour-long compilation show on its flagship channel, MTV MUSIC and MTV LIVE on 5th and 6th September. As with both years previously, London based Production Company JJ Stereo will produce all the content, which will be hosted by Laura Whitmore.

Summer 2015 will see the celebration of Ibiza Rocks 10th Birthday during the 14 weeklong season of spectacular outdoor gigs.  The pioneering brand has also expanded with the launch of its first major festival, Croatia Rocks, taking place on the Island of Pag in July (www.croatiarocks.com).

Now it's time to reveal the full lineups for the entire 17 week programme.

Kicking things off with a bang at the Opening Party on June 8th.

Brit Award winners Rudimental headline the We Love Sundays At Space Opening Party on June 8th with a very special Discoteca DJ performance.

The lineups have been carefully programmed bringing in a mix of the finest island residents and international guests but will remain completely unannounced all season. An anonymous lineup brings the right people together for the right reasons: great music, in a great venue with a great crowd. The Sunset Terrace will receive a full makeover every Sunday to highlight the aspects considered important to daytime clubbing. STRIPPED will be a party for everyone to enjoy in the same way, it will be an antidote to VIP culture and musical snobbery, it will be for everyone who shares the same ideals and not for those who prefer to sit behind a velvet rope and will be the cheapest ticket available for We Love Sundays At Space.

After midnight and After Dark on the Sunset Terrace Mr Doris is back along with his crew of break beat, jump up, DMC and world music compadres each week. Over the course of the summer expect to see DJ Format, Krafty Kuts, DJ Cheeba, The Herbaliser and many more appear in what is fast becoming a favourite space for Island locals and the discerning holiday maker alike. For the opening party A Skillz makes a welcome return after 2 standout performances last year.

In El Salon David Phillips and his Lo Cura lounge crew are back for the first of their eight Sunday sessions this summer. The hosts with the most and the best back-room residents Ibiza has to offer joining together in Space's most intimate room. On DJ duties for the June 8th Opening Party are Jon Woodall, Daisy Heartbreaker and the main himself David Phillips.

Up on the Premier Etage Ibiza crew Lucky Life TV take control of proceedings with DJs Ben Fhurst, Kabodah, Chronic Cowboys and Ryan Platts all performing over the course of the evening.

Biffy Clyro,Calvin Harris and Pharrell Williams announced for T in the Park

Biffy Clyro,Calvin Harris and Pharrell Williams announced for T in the Park

Biffy Clyro,Calvin Harris and Pharrell Williams announced for T in the Park

After last year’s glorious 20th year sun-kissed celebrations, T in the Park is back and set to enter its third decade with another unmissable weekend featuring some of the world’s biggest artists. DF Concerts and founding partner Tennent’s Lager are thrilled to announce a stellar cast of acts which are Balado-bound this summer, and sure to wow the 85,000-strong daily crowd over 11th – 13th July.

Homegrown heroes Biffy Clyro and Calvin Harris will close the Main Stage at the festival for the very first time, becoming the first Scottish acts to do so in 13 years with what will be their biggest ever shows on home soil. Biffy Clyro’s 10th Balado outing will see them become the artist which has played the festival the most times. Man of the moment Pharrell Williams is sure to be another highlight, and DF Concerts have also today announced a further array of top acts which will join previously announced Arctic Monkeys and Paolo Nutini as well Biffy Clyro, Calvin Harris and Pharrell Williams on the T in the Park 2014 bill:

FRIDAY 11TH JULY: Biffy Clyro, Ed Sheeran, Ellie Goulding, Bastille, Pixies, Steve Angello, Alesso, Haim, You Me At Six, Manic Street Preachers, Chvrches, Maximo Park, The Rifles, Len Faki, Pan-Pot.

SATURDAY 12TH JULY: Calvin Harris, Paolo Nutini, Pharrell Williams, Elbow, Rudimental, Ben Howard, James, Bombay Bicycle Club, Twin Atlantic, The 1975, John Newman, Embrace, Katy B, Nina Nesbitt, The Stranglers, Dave Clarke, Carl Craig, Metronomy, Clean Bandit, We Are Scientists, Ella Eyre, George Ezra, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Magda.

SUNDAY 13TH JULY: Arctic Monkeys, Jake Bugg, Disclosure, Example, Imagine Dragons, Tinie Tempah, Franz Ferdinand, Kaiser Chiefs, London Grammar, Tame Impala, Kodaline, Above & Beyond, Sam Smith, Passenger, Sven Vath, Newton Faulkner, Chance The Rapper, Slam, The Twilight Sad, Inspiral Carpets, Julio Bashmore, Levon Vincent, George Fitzgerald and many, many more acts to be announced (line-up subject to change).

Biffy Clyro are T in the Park fan favourites, and they cite their very first performance on the T Break Stage back in 1999 as a defining factor in the band being signed. An incredible 2013 saw the band named Best British Band at the NME Awards and debut at no. 1 with their Opposites album (which achieved the best reviews of the band’s career). They headline the T in the Park Main Stage for the first time this July in what will be their 10th appearance at the festival, and as the fields of Balado ring out once again with the sound of “Mon the Biff!”, it’ll surely be a special moment for band and fans alike.

Global Superstar Calvin Harris will be one of the highlights for T in the Parkers. A Grammy award-winning, multi-talented DJ, songwriter, performer and producer, Calvin’s no. 1 album 18 Months has to date sold over 750,000 copies in the UK alone, along with over 35 million singles worldwide. 18 Months also made chart history by scoring the most Top 10 singles from one album, with 9 UK top 10 singles including Nothing feat. Florence Welch and the massive We Found Love feat. Rihanna. Last year he became the first DJ to win a prestigious Ivor Novello award and will close T in the Park’s Main Stage for the first time this summer.

Grammy Award winning singer/songwriter/producer and man of the moment Pharrell Williams is one of the most successful and prolific artists to emerge during the last decade, as part of the The Neptunes, N.E.R.D., and as a collaborator and solo star in his own right. He featured on the two biggest selling singles of 2013 - Robin Thicke’s Blurred Lines (producer, co-songwriter and featured artist), and Daft Punk’s Get Lucky which he co-wrote and fronted. This year looks set to be just as successful, with Pharrell picking up the Producer of the Year Award at the 2014 Grammys, and his hotly anticipated new album G I R L – which features the no. 1 smash hit Happy - due out next month.

Ed Sheeran is one of the most in-demand singer-songwriters to emerge from the UK music scene in recent years. With an Ivor Novello and Grammy nomination under his belt, he’s sure to inspire mass sing-alongs with his anthemic tunes.

Nominated for the Best British Male at this year’s Brit Awards after receiving a Mercury Music Prize nomination his debut self-titled album in 2013, Jake Bugg’s ever-broadening musical palette saw him produce an outstanding follow-up to his debut with Shangri-La. He’s a welcome edition to the T in the Park bill this summer.

MGMT, Foals, Rudimental and Julio Bashmore added to Open'er Line up

Joining the Open'er line-up are the ever exciting, live champions Foals and the UK’s premier live dance act  - Rudimental. The new electronic Beat Stage will also have its inaugural year, hosting only the best in international talent with Julio Bashmore as the first DJ/producer for the lineup.

Foals

A sold-out concert and their reputation for an ever exciting live show meant that Foals simply had to return to Open’er festival. The band came onto the UK musical scene in 2007, when they met David Sitek, the founder member of TV On The Radio, which led to him producing their debut album “Antidotes". On 2010’s “Total Life Forever”, the band moved in a different direction, this also marks the first occasion that they brought their tunes to their Polish fans at Open'er 2011, playing a show so intense that the guitarist's fingers started to bleed. In October 2012, Yannis Philippakis, Jack Bevan, Jimmy Smith, Walter Gervers and Edwin Congreave announed the title of their following release.  "Holy Fire” which was released early last year. With its release, NME announced that  "the Oxford art-rockers cast off their spiky, mathletic shackles and head for the big league", and The Line of Best Fit simply called it Foals' "masterpiece".

Rudimental

There's a strong history of the studio pioneers of British dance music becoming household names in Poland; from Basement Jaxx to Groove Armada, Massive Attack to Chase & Status. The hottest new collective making their mark are the East London quartet Rudimental. With support coming from the likes of Zane Lowe, The XX, Mistajam and Fearne Cotton, they're set to dominate dancefloors and airwaves in the coming months. Adding to that, Rudimental have been nominated for three awards at this year’s Brit Awards: Mastercard British Album of the Year, British Single – „Waiting All Night” feat. Ella Eyre, and British Group. Their debut “Home” went platinum in the UK. It comprises songwriters and producers Piers Agget, Kesi Dryden and Amir Amor, together with DJ Locksmith. Rudimental play the newly founded Here and Now Stage.

Julio Bashmore

Julio may have appeared to have burst onto the scene in late 2009, but the lead up to his eponymous EP for Claude VonStroke's highly influential Dirtybird label was essentially a lifetime in the making. Over the next three years, he rounded off a string of stellar EPs and singles on an array of labels. His vital eclecticism was showcased in his mighty contribution to the Essential Mix series on BBC Radio 1 at the end of the year. Bounce to blissed-out Garage of "Footsteppin", lose your mind to his Mosca remix, or turn out the lights for "Batak Groove" and you'll realise, simply, that it's just something you feel. He did 3 cuts on Jessie Ware’s debut album, including ‘Running’ and ‘110%’, and Ware returned the favour with guest vocals on a version of “Peppermint”. With fresh music for his newly imprinted label Broadwalk Records and a debut album coming in the next months, this might be the most incredible year for him.
