Frank Turner Announce New Single Polaroid Picture

The Polaroid Picture EP will drop on February 3rd, and alongside the title track, taken from Frank's top 5 album Tape Deck Heart, it also features 'The Modern Leper', 'A Cat Called Virtute (live)', 'Who's Got A Match' and a brand new track, 'Sweet Albion Blues'.

The EP will come out just ahead of Frank's huge February shows, including the London 02 (ain't no big deal) and a special solo homecoming gig at Winchester Guildhall.
Not only that, Frank also found time over Christmas to go on the telly and win Celebrity Mastermind with his inexhaustible knowledge of all things Iron Maiden. Not just a beardy face.

Frank Turner unveils video for new single Oh Brother

Frank Turner will release his new single, ‘Oh Brother’, on November 4th through Xtra Mile Recordings. It's the fourth single to be taken from his acclaimed fifth studio album ‘Tape Deck Heart’ out now.

The song is inspired by erstwhile band mate Ben Dawson of punk rock band Million Dead, who split in 2005. Dawson features in the video for ‘Oh Brother’, which you can watch here.

Turner recently announced his biggest ever headline tour for February 2014. The 7 date run includes his first ever headline date at the huge London O2 Arena as well as other impressive arenas in Cardiff, Manchester, Nottingham and more.

The arena dates in February 2014 are:
Thursday 6th                Cardiff                        Motorpoint Arena
Friday 7th                     Nottingham                Arena
Saturday 8th                Edinburgh                  Corn Exchange
Sunday 9th                  Manchester                Arena
Tuesday 11th              Plymouth                   Pavillions
Wednesday 12th          London                       O2
Thursday 13th              Portsmouth               Guildhall

But before that, Turner returns to playing more intimate shows with a special gig at The Monarch venue in Camden, London on 30th September raising money and awareness for the charity War Child. Tickets are available to win via XFM.
And then he’s off Stateside for a lengthy tour covering all corners of North America throughout October, November and December. With his popularity ever soaring, the first date of the tour is already sold out. Full dates with links can be found on his website.

As well as headlining Wembley Arena last year, Turner was chosen to open Danny Boyle's stunning Olympic Opening Ceremony and he played the Main Stage at Reading/Leeds festival this year, where he was the highest-billed UK artist on that day.

‘Tape Deck Heart’ reached number one on the iTunes chart, number two on the Official Chart and also entered the Top Ten on the US iTunes Chart in its week of release, underlining Frank Turner’s arrival as a crossover DIY star. ‘Tape Deck Heart’ is his most expertly crafted yet, an album pockmarked with years of relentless touring and prolific writing, where Turner sounds at his most accomplished without sandpapering down his raw edge, spinning narrative tales through rousing, adrenaline-veined anthems.

Like the rest of the record, ‘Oh Brother’ was produced by Muse collaborator Rich Costey.

‘THE WAY I TEND TO BE’
NEW SINGLE RELEASED JUNE 17TH

Frank Turner will release his new single, ‘The Way I Tend To Be’, on June 17th through Xtra Mile Recordings. It's the second single to be taken from his acclaimed fifth studio album ‘Tape Deck Heart’, which was released last month and cements the Winchester-born folk-punker’s status as a maverick hero who just happens to be one of the country’s biggest singer-songwriters.

Turner, who headlined Wembley Arena last year and was also chosen as the act to open Danny Boyle's stunning Olympic Opening Ceremony, has recently completed a sold out UK tour. He is the highest-billed UK artist on the day he plays this summer's Reading and Leeds Festival, where he will play on the Main Stage on the Green Day bill.

‘Tape Deck Heart’ reached Number One on the iTunes chart, Number Two on the Official UK Chart and also entered the Top Ten on the US iTunes Chart in its week of release, underlining Frank Turner’s arrival as a crossover DIY star. ‘Tape Deck Heart’ is his most expertly crafted yet, an album pockmarked with years of relentless touring and prolific writing, where Turner sounds at his most accomplished without sandpapering down his raw edge, spinning narrative tales through rousing, adrenaline-veined anthems.

Like the rest of the record, ‘The Way I Tend To Be’ was produced by Muse collaborator Rich Costey. A breezy, mandolin-flecked sing-along with Turner’s stirring delivery at the center of it; it’s a love song, Frank Turner-style, a grizzled ballad. The video was directed by James Copeman (Biffy Clyro, Noah And The Whale).
