Rax - Sweet Chin Music

20 year old London based rapper Rax launches part 4 of the ‘The Black Crook Project’ with a simple yet typically outstanding Grime spray out over Teddy Music’s Wood Street instrumental. Based around Charles M. Barras' 1866 musical 'The Black Crook', Rax’s current project sees the unique wordsmith release 1 new video every 2 weeks for 6 months.
Rax honed his microphone skills from the age of 15, before signing with fast rising musical enterprise Clear Cut Entertainment / Audio Surveillance Records. The charismatic emcee then released his first solo long player titled 'The Auditions' in 2009. The mixtape went on to receive over 1000 downloads within the first few days of its release, with hard copies of the project proving equally as popular on the streets of London. Rax then released several viral videos (including his unforgettable 'I Wanna Rock' remix which clocked up over 30,000 views on YouTube), before putting plans in motion for his most ambitious project to date - #TBCP.
The first three videos from TBCP have clocked up over 60,000 views on YouTube collectively, whilst Rax is receiving outstanding industry recognition from the press, DJs and fans alike.
The fourth release from the project sees Rax switch from the relaxed Hip Hop tones we’ve previously heard for a more combative Grime delivery, illustrating both vocal and lyrical diversity. Featuring Teddy Music’s classic Wood Street instrumental, the video is a no frills demonstration of pure talent – just Rax, a couple of cameras and two minutes of original, head nod inducing lyricism.

Rax - Gingerbread Man (Halloween Special)

20-year-old London based rapper Rax launches part 3 of the ‘The Black Crook Project’ with the release of a Halloween special titled ‘Gingerbread Man’.

The first two videos from TBCP have clocked up 15,000 and 35,000 views on YouTube respectively, with expectations even higher for forthcoming releases.

The third video from the project, titled ‘Gingerbread Man’, is a Halloween special, which sees Rax deliver his signature wordplay over an intense string-led instrumental. Combining tongue in cheek punch lines with a contemporary yet accomplished delivery, Rax sits comfortably somewhere between authentic hip hop and commercially viable music, which is all capped off with a dose of refreshingly youthful exuberance. The audio is accompanied by a fantastically creative visual, which was co-directed by Rax himself.

RAX ‘The Wholemeal’ Freestyle

20 year old London based rapper Rax continues his most ambitious project to date with the release of the second video from ‘The Black Crook Project’. Based around Charles M. Barras' 1866 musical 'The Black Crook', the project will see Rax release 1 new video every 2 weeks for 6 months.
Rax honed his microphone skills from the age of 15, before signing with fast rising musical enterprise Clear Cut Entertainment / Audio Surveillance Records. The charismatic emcee then released his first solo long player titled 'The Auditions' in 2009. The second video from The Black Crook Project sees Rax in the studio doing what he does best - delivering almost 3 minutes of pure straight spitting. Utilising the instrumental from Nas’ 2009 anthem ‘Film’, Rax proves that despite his young age critics would be foolish to presume his lyrical dexterity doesn’t surpass far beyond his years. The video is the perfect follow up to Part 1 of The Black Crook Project, which received outstanding press support and has clocked up over 14,000 views on YouTube since its release just two weeks ago.
