Last summer W.A.R! introduced an incredible mix of the most influential and exciting names in electronic music to the famous outdoor Rocks stage.  This year, W.A.R! will once again bring together an eclectic mix of electronic acts to showcase a diverse range of Bass and House at the Rocks Hotels for 16 weeks throughout summer.

The electric, early evening, outdoor shows will welcome back the formidable musical force that is internationally renowned producer Mark Ronson and the UK’s biggest tastemaker Zane Lowe.  The master DJ duo inspired W.A.R! and were crucial in making it a ‘must’ for electronic music lovers last year.  They will headline the W.A.R! closing party in Ibiza which also includes  Bondax – a duo that will blow up in a big way in the Balaerics this summer. These Lancaster lads incorporate elements of post-dubstep, RandB, and garage, to craft an intimate, electronic bliss. With tunes like “Baby I Got That” and “Just Us” this will be one super hot set.

Fans don’t need to wait for the closing party for the fun to begin - there’s plenty to come before then with special shows from Rudimental (DJ set), Redlight and Jacques Greene in Ibiza. Rocks Resident DJ supreme Doorly will be back on the White Isle too, not only captaining the brand new W.A.R! Ship pre-party, but also playing an exclusive residency at W.A.R! every Friday from the 7th June to the 20th September.

With a strong focus on supporting big headline acts as well as the best up and coming talent, W.A.R! introduced Disclosure and Rudimental into the mix last year and will once again showcase fresh new talents in the form of Mak and Pasteman, Gorgon City feat. Yasmin, Delta Heavy, Scruffizer, Toyboy & Robin, Mele, Roska and Wilkinson.  Like Doorly, Mak and Pasteman started as Rocks residents and success has since soared for the Leeds bass duo, with a new Radio 1Xtra show, club and festival shows across the land and three stand out sets at W.A.R! this summer.

The newly announced acts join an already incredible line up that includes an exclusive W.A.R! residency with Example + DJ Wire plus four Rinse FM events with TNGHT, Katy B, So Solid Crew, Skepta, Oneman, P Money and Zinc.

W.A.R! Ibiza/Mallorca - Opening Parties announced

Last summer W.A.R! introduced an incredible mix of the most influential and exciting names in electronic music to the famous outdoor Rocks stage.  Back for round two, W.A.R! will once again bring together an eclectic mix of electronic acts to showcase a diverse range of Bass and House. Joining the line up are Zane Lowe, Mistajam, Baauer, Ms Dynamite, Shadowchild and Doorly.  

The newly announced acts join an already incredible line up that includes an exclusive W.A.R! residency with Example + DJ Wire plus four Rinse FM events with TNGHT, Katy B, So Solid Crew, Skepta and Oneman.

First up for the W.A.R! Opening Party at the Mallorca Rocks Hotel on Thursday 6th June are Mistajam, Baauer and Ms Dynamite. Radio 1 and 1Xtra’s Mistajam is widely praised for bridging the gap between the mainstream and specialist worlds, - a man on the same mission as W.A.R!  With his 1Xtra show hailed as ‘the key to the underground’ Mistajam will bring the freshest sounds in UK Bass and House music to the open-air, poolside stage at the Rocks Hotel.

Hailing from Philadelphia, DJ and Producer Baauer is in BIG demand right now.  As well as producing remixes for the likes of Nero and The Prodigy, Baauer’s own masterpieces have really made this man stand out.  Criticallly acclaimed single Harlem Shake caused a massive viral explosion resulting in thousands of youtube uploads per day and a subsequent No.1 US single. Now collaborating with hip-hop superproducer Just Blaze on the massive track Higher, the pair has just completed a joint tour. It will be a big night when Baauer hits up the Balearics for his debut at the W.A.R!  Opening Parties in June.

The UK’s very own Ms Dynamite will also take to the stage for this special show, bringing with her fresh material as well as all the huge hits that made her one of the most influential, successful and award winning British solo artists of the last decade. Her Mercury Music Prize was followed by BRIT and MOBO awards and Ms Dynamite was held up as an ambassador for a British riposte to US R&B. Now collaborating with younger stars like Labrinth on well-received singles and with an album lined up for next years, Ms Dynamite is back by popular demand following her electric live sets at W.A.R! last year.

Taking the helm for the W.A.R! Opening Party at the Ibiza Rocks Hotel is master of new music and long-term friend and champion of Ibiza Rocks, Zane Lowe.  Together with his partner in crime Mark Ronson, Zane was a huge driving force behind the launch of W.A.R! last year and is coming back to kick off another sun-soaked, electric summer.   Baauer will also be Ibiza bound for this special show, which includes the return of Rocks very own resident DJ turned global sensation Doorly.

Mistajam, Ms Dynamite and Doorly return to Ibiza on 28th June and will be joined by Shadow Child. Making his debut via the mighty Dirtybird early in 2012, mostly thanks to the EP's lead track String Thing dominating Eats Everything' and Claude Vonstroke's DJ sets the world over. This new alias for one of House music's already known names is on an exciting path, paved with underground bass-led grooves and all the quirks and depth that will fill the floor at W.A.R! this summer.

New additions to the already incredible line up are Chase and Status with three exclusive shows (Mallorca only), DJ Fresh, Jaymo  and Andy George, Breakage, Feed Me, Disclosure, Rudimental, Ms Dynamite, Shy FX, Sub Focus, Dillon Francis, Jakwob, Citizen, Mista Jam, Union, Dismantle, Toddla T, Oneman and two special nights WE ARE ROCKSTARS PRESENTS..RINSE with Katy B, Devlin, Zinc, Joker, P Money, Ms Dynamite and Roska (Ibiza only) and WE ARE ROCKSTARS PRESENTS.. HOSPITALITY with Netsky, High Contrast, Danny Byrd, Nu:tone and Wrec (Ibiza only).

The early evening, outdoor shows will welcome exclusive appearances by the formidable musical force that is internationally renowned producer Mark Ronson and Ibiza Rock’s Music Director Zane Lowe.  The master DJ duo lead a line-up that also includes the hugely influential first lady of Radio 1, Annie Mac (Mallorca only) and the pioneers of British dubstep Magnetic Man.

Example + DJ Wire will be teaming up for no less than five shows across the islands, Major Lazer will play both Mallorca (exclusive) and Ibiza with support in Ibiza from Radio 1’s newest DJ Toddla T. Fellow rising stars of Radio 1, Skream and Benga, bring longtime collaborator Sgt Pokes and vocalist Youngman for exclusive back to back shows in both Ibiza and Mallorca. As always, the heavyweights are joined by the best in breakthrough talent and it’s with great excitement that two of the freshest names in electronic music, Disclosure and Rudimental are making their Balaeric debuts at W.A.R! with multiple shows across the islands.

Many of these incredible purveyors of electronic music are headlining festivals across the globe and now they take their rightful position as headliners at the best outdoor music venue in the Balearics – the Rocks hotels.  The Ibiza Rocks brand has been the driving force behind outdoor clubbing events in the White Isle and continues to lead the way.  Real music lovers can forget waiting for midnight to hit the crammed ‘superclubs’ with the masses and opt to go to W.A.R! to dance under the stars, with the most influential talent at the forefront of electronic music.

With the welcome addition of new weekly night We Are Rockstars, the ‘Rocks’ Hotels are doubling their events offering and now hosting two major music shows per week – that’s 64 headline events across 16 weeks in both Mallorca and Ibiza this summer!

W.A.R! will take on the same 7pm – midnight slot as the ‘Rocks’ gigs, outdoor under the sweet Balearic stars.  The world’s best DJs, incredible production, the famous outdoor rocks stage, a unique atmosphere and you. We Are All Rockstars!
