This month coming up we have the Jonny Cash meets Nick Cave-esque dark country of DAVE JACKSON, who will be joined by JOHN HEAD and TIM O'SHEA along with the CATHEDRAL MOUNTAIN CHOIR at the wonderful Scandinavian Church. In support will be a couple of acts who we think make some of the finest music within the city, THE READYMADES and PROFESSOR YAFFLE.
8pm, Friday 15 April @ The Scandinavian Church, £7 BRING YOUR OWN BOOZE
Then we head to the Shipping Forecast for our 3rd instalment in the BIDO LITO! SOCIAL CLUB series to bring you a WELSH PSYCHEDELIC SUNSHINE FOLK special. With the EDWYN COLLINS produced COLORAMA, with support from psych outfit THE KEYS, who've just released their unreal album, Bitten By Wolves and the Summery melodies of one man band PULCO, who armed with his trusty acoustic guitar and mini disc player will have you whistling all the way to Colomendy and back.
8pm, Thursday 21 April @ The Shipping Forecast, £4 OnTheDoor
We have recently announced gigs with the earth-shattering psych freak out rock of San Francisco's WOODEN SHJIPS, VETIVER, JAMES VINCENT McMORROW, ÓLOF ARNALDS, WICKED WHISPERS, Frensh sunshine melody maker's ORWELL and a few support additions to some of the other's we've previously announced, including NEVILLE SKELLY and ANDY STEELE to support (who've somehow managed to record a new album imbetween their leader, Sean O'Hagan writing string arrangmeents for GRUFF RHYS and writing film scores with TIM GANE of STEREOLAB)Harvest Sun heroes THE HIGH LLAMAS (who've somehow managed to record a new album imbetween their leader, Sean O'Hagan writing string arrangmeents for GRUFF RHYS and writing film scores with TIM GANE of STEREOLAB) and EVA PETERSEN will be supporting JAMES VINCENT McMORROW.
