Capelle release new single Midnight and Video
Aussie fronted rockers unleash new single hot on the heels of 2nd US tour and announce appearance at CMJ Single ‘Midnight’ out 18th June
Album ‘Crooked Deluxe’ out 18th June
London-based Aussie-fronted rock band Capelle release the 3rd single from their 2nd album Crooked Deluxe worldwide on June 18th and headline the Quayside festival in Weymouth on 4th June.
The video for Midnight was shot whilst on tour in the US this April. ‘This country has been so good to us and our music really feels at home here’ says Nic, who performed at legendary venues including The Rockwood Music Hall in NYC, On the Rox at the Roxy on Sunset Boulevard in LA and The Double Door in Chicago. ‘It's amazing the heritage that these places hold. They've seen the likes of Queens of The Stone Age, Rolling Stones, Kings of Leon and Guns'n'Roses... just to name a few. When we were out front of the Roxy waiting to go on, our bass player Ricky Taylor bumped into Ron Jeremy.’
Nic and the band had a few extra-curricular adventures too: 'We found ourselves in LA on the Sunset Strip and lost ourselves at El Compadre to an over 50s Mariachi band, a kilo of Nacho chips and relentless rounds of Margaritas to drown out the hot sauce. We bumped into the guitarist from Fear Factory, went in search of the Guns'n'Roses at the Rainbow room and our bassist and guitarist
found them selves sandwiched between two groupies from Poison’s heyday at 5am the next morning.'Over the Summer, Nic will complete work on a new Capelle album due for release in October and on the album he’s written and produced for new Chicago artist Nitty De Faunque.
Then in October the band will perform at CMJ as part of Music Marathon and showcase their compelling documentary chronicling their debut US tour. An honest insight into the emotional rollercoaster of touring as an unknown band, All Roads Lead To America sees them jamming with incredible artists, performing at legendary venues and shooting their video in the desert near Joshua Tree.
