Blood Of The Bull Debut EP Bend Over
Blood of the Bull is the musical alter ego of American born, Glasgow based musician Hillary Van Scoy. Already a well-established artist on the thriving local music scene via her work with DIVORCE, Phat Trophies and Aggi Doom, she's set to release her latest 4 track EP 'Bend Over' via the fabulous Soft Power Records on 3rd March 2013 on limited edition vinyl - http://softpowerrecords.bandcamp.com/album/bend-over-e-p.
The EP provides a compelling insight into the idiosyncratic world of Blood Of the Bull. It delivers a heady, eclectic mix of sweetly disarming melody, grainy Wurlitzers and muscular guitars, whilst lurking beneath the surface lies a dark uncompromising vein of caustic wit.
Blood Of The Bull embraces tunes of disappointment disapproval and general discomfort set to a dark supervise rock beat. After all, just because reality can often be a drag it doesn't mean it can't be danceable! Whilst song titles such as 'Hold Your Head High And Go F**k Yourself', ' You Are My Favourite Communist ' I Am A Dog' and 'Bend Over' may have commercial radio station producers running for the hills, they should attract the ears and imagination of the more discerning music fan!
