Basheba drops her video for Hold On, from the upcoming EP Bad Friends, Good Enemies

NW London vocalist Basheba is back with another darkly lyrical dance record and hard hitting music video. 2014 has been a big year for Basheba. Having made it to the final ten on MOBO Unsung’s competition (beating over 400 other unsigned artists) and featuring on platforms such as BBC R1, 1xtra, Kiss FM, MTV Base, London Live, AKA, Flava, Record of the Day, Fred Perry Subculture, Refinery 29 and SB.TV.

Perfecting her sound since the age of 14,Basheba combines dark, blues influenced vocals with hard-edged drum and bass beatsso it’s no wonder that the likes of Rudimental and Lyracis have already asked to work with her on their album projects. A creative through & through, watch out for her own clothing brand launching in 2015.

October 18th sees Basheba performing at ‘Juicy Live Couture’ in Westfield shopping centre, alongside Show’N’Prove, Fabienne and Chocolate Doll.Basheba has her ‘Bad Friends, Good Enemies’ EP launch party set for her 27th October, at London’s The Social, Oxford Circus.

Brian McCafferty Debut Single Hold On

Scottish recording artist Brian McCafferty to release Debut Single Hold On

Hot new Scottish recording artist, Brian McCafferty, has announced his very first single will be released on 18th June 2014.

Taken from his debut album - Over the Years - ‘Hold On’ will be released on the independent Renfrew-based record label, Echo Row Music and showcases 24 year old McCafferty’s unique and high-energy blend of folksy beats and poppy guitar riffs.
Written when the singer was just 19, Hold On is an optimistic look at life, focusing on being strong through tough times and holding onto the belief that things will get brighter.

McCafferty, who hails from the south side of Glasgow and signed with Echo Row Music earlier this year, cites his influences as John Mayer, Ed Sheeran and James Morrison.
Hold On was one of the first songs I ever wrote and the lyrics are really important to me,” said Brian.

It’s all about thinking positively, looking to the future and remaining upbeat through it all - and those sentiments really come through in the melody. I want people to listen to the song and feel uplifted and ready to take on the world - because that’s how it makes me feel...!”

Brian has been a regular on the live music circuit in Glasgow for a while now and is ready to take the next step into the charts with his catchy new single.

The Hold On single will be available to download directly from iTunes, on 18th June.
Brian’s debut 12-track album, Over The Years, is scheduled for release later this year.
