Fresh from the dawn of 2014 the band finished a successful 2013 with a 2 month tour of the UK and Europe. The band had just released their new Album Their Finest Hour along with their new film This Band Is So Gorgeous about the bands successful tour of China which has been premiered around the world at various film festivals and continues to do so.

The band which was formed in 1975, to which its original founding member and guitarist Neil Harris still remains today. With hits such as Borstal Breakout and Hey Little Rich Boy being performed in 76-77, the band went on to have others such as Hurry Up Harry, Angels With Dirty Faces and the anthem If The Kids Are United.

The band has had many line up changes but the most notable was Jimmy Pursey's departure following his sacking in 2006, in which he was replaced by the now vocalist Tim V.
Tim V's reign saw him take the band from its lowest point to get it touring worldwide with 3 successful selling albums along with World Tours and major festivals...and has clocked up more shows than any other previous line up. The band currently features along with Tim and Neil the bands longest serving drummer at 28 years behind the kit for SHAM 69.. Ian Whitewood.

On Bass guitar we have Al Campbell, Al who has a pristine pedigree in Punk after serving 13 years with the UK SUBS and also playing guitar with both Marky Ramone and Jayne County and The Electric Chairs.

Last but not least the band decided upon returning to SHAM 69's original format of 2 guitarist's and so on Lead guitar we have Tony Feedback. Tony is most noted for leading the Mod revival with his band Long Tall Sally and his string skills saw him join the Angelic Upstarts during their most successful period.

So this is Sham 69 now and though many have scoffed at their existence they have come to regret it having been overwhelmed by the power of the performance.
The band new single Sing When Your Winning is now out on I-Tunes and the video is available here and is also features in the new Brit flick St Georges Day.

Secret Affair make a welcome return to the venue this September. Formed in 1978 and were the forefront of the mod revival movement.   The last time Secret Affair played Eric's was back in 1979 when they played two sets, an afternoon matinee and an evening show.

In a period of a little over two years, they posted five releases in the UK Singles Chart, and released three albums. The debut single Time For Action sold over 200,000 copies and reached number 13 in the UK chart.  More chart success followed with Let Your Heart Dance, My World and  Sound Of Confusion. They also drew up plans for a smart-dressing youth movement - the Glory Boys - based around the idea of 1960s gangster chic, influenced by the movie, Performance.

The mod movement that had swept Secret Affair into the pop charts had all but evaporated by mid 1980, losing out to the rival 2 Tone fashion movement, and after the release of the band's second album, drummer Shelton quit to join the Come On Eileen  era Dexy's Midnight Runners.

Secret Affair with founder members Ian Page and Dave Cairns are now joined by Russ Baxter on Drums and Ed Pearson on bass, Bryn Barklam on Hammond and Andy Brush on Sax.

Cumbrian band No Idea need your votes for Hard Rock Rising 2013

No Idea are in the running to play Hard Rock Rising 2013 at the Hard Rock Cafe in Manchester and you can help support them by voting at the link below

An inquisitive steward at battle of the bands asked drummer Rob Logan the name of the band "Got no idea" was the reply and from that day on No Idea was born.

Cumbrian band, No idea, have been formed for three years now and they won battle of the bands Cockrock 2010

They were main stage at Cockrock supporting  Underground Hero’s and Sham 69
No Idea also performed three gigs at the Blues Festival Maryport 2011

Their range of music consists of taking original songs mixing, twisting and spinning them around. Adding a slice of punk, a pinch of new age and a drop of pop producing nothing less than a cocktail of rock goodness.

This was recently put to the test during the Workington Decades weekend May 2012 When No Idea supported the amazing Toyah Wilcox as well as performing in various other venues during the course of the weekend.

No Idea recently battled it out in the Soundwave Music Competition grand final on January 26.

The group performed in front of a capacity crowd on the main stage of Newcastle’s O2 Academy, which has hosted the likes of Arctic Monkeys and Adele.

They were one of 25 bands to make it through to the penultimate round of Soundwave in October.

Sham 69; Quite simply one of THE top punk bands. Led by the charismatic and irrepressible Jimmy Pursey they produced a stream of catchy, populist, short and sweet punk rock anthems including 'If The Kids Are United', 'Hurry Up Harry' and 'Angels With Dirty Faces' that made the British charts. What makes Sham 69 even more interesting though is their arrival on the scene when Punk began to move from the more elitist fashion driven art scene to a rougher, more working class ethic. Above all - a fantastic, full on punk band with a dynamic live presences, a top singer and great tunes.

With the Sex Pistols splitting, the Clash obfuscating over their second album and a host of bands changing from punk to New Wave or Powerpop to get airplay and publicity enabled a band like Sham 69 who solidly proclaimed themselves PUNK and for the people to and with such an engaging and likeable singer to get publicity and strike a chord across the land. Sham 69 were the band genuinely doing it for the kids. This was punk rock for a lot of people and their street punk leadership would soon be swelled by the likes of the UK Subs, Ruts and Angelic Upstarts in the charts as punk caught a second wind that continues to be a huge inspiration on the next wave of musicians with something to say.“We're in a punk band that's it. If the bands gonna die it's gonna die as a punk band, not as a fuckin' pop group." (Jimmy Pursey) - *source punk77uk

Rioutous live fun, Jimmy Pursey and the gang are the original street punk legends, a huge musical, lyrical and cultural influence on the international music scene. This band started off mattering, and haven't stopped.

Bibelots. “Drenched in swagger, groove and cascading guitar, Bibelots pull off that almost impossible trick of marrying dance beats to rock and roll, and impressively, too.” Geoff Lloyd, Absolute Radio. 2012 included supports Reverend and the Makers and The Rifles at Shepherds Bush Empire, HMV Next Big Thing series, plays on Amazing Radio, Absolute Radio & Kerrang! plus a live TV performance on ESPN’s Talk Of The Terrace then a triumphant summer of festivals culminating in a series of performances at the Olympics. After a breakthrough year, Bibelots are ready for the next stage...

Where's Strutter?
have quickly established themselves as one of Manchester’s hottest new bands. They became the first unsigned band to headline Club Academy, Academy 3 and Academy 2 in under 12 months - no mean feat considering that Lee, Paddy and Danny are all 20 and Max has just turned 18. Learning their craft on national tours, they have supported the likes of Buzzcocks, Twisted Wheel, The View, Ocean Colour Scene and Peter Doherty, who also sang guest vocals for the band. They spent their Summer building their reputation as ones to watch with triumphant gigs at Kendal Calling, Cockrock and Friends of Mine Festival. Their music is something of a driving force, finding acute satisfaction in extreme dynamics and a wavy euphonious guitar sound.

The Din; A Camden trio from Newcastle and Barcelona. The Din play blend a heady mix of influences and responsible for The Immaculate Consumption, which is their album, and out now! They have been turning heads and pricking up ears. Now further attention beckons..
