Friday 15th July 2011: Academy Events is pleased to announce tour dates with seminal, classic hard rock group, Uriah Heep,in support of their 23rd studio album, ‘Into the Wild’.
 
Uriah Heep debuted in 1970 with the release of one of rock music’s milestone albums ‘Very ‘eavy, Very ‘umble’ and have since sold in excess of 30 million albums worldwide.
 
Fresh from the completion of their 40th Annniversary Tour (2010), the band recorded 11 brand new songs at the respected Liscombe Park Studios in Buckinghamshire, England, resulting in the April 2011 release of ‘’Into the Wild’ (Frontiers Records), adding to the band’s huge catalogue of rock classics.
 
‘Into the Wild’ debuted at Number 32 in Germany, made Top 30 in several European charts, and has already sold out of its first print run in USA, where the band is headlining a number of prestigious events during a 2 month tour of USA in 2011.  In the last 12 months, Uriah Heep has successfully revisited South Africa, Australia and Japan, as well as opening new "frontiers" in Armenia, Georgia and even Khazakstan.
Indeed, Uriah Heep constantly tour the world, have played in over 53 countries with some 250 shows a year, performing a vibrant and exciting set-list that features both new material and many of their unforgettable monster hits such as “The Wizard”, “Easy Livin”, “July Morning” and “Lady in Black”, as well as new material.
